  STAY AWAY- this rooftop has a lot of work to do in regards to training employees. JERMAINE in "security" is a scary man who threaten to "knock out" my sister, during her stay at the hotel. You can search the traumatic experience below the countless reviews they've begged customers for in the last 2 weeks to hopefully drown out anyone from reading her experience. Male violence on females is NOT OK- STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

  We had an AMAZING experience at the Refinery Rooftop BECAUSE of all the kindness and care of the staff, especially our dear server, 😍LEO😍. He was so incredibly kind, attentive, considerate, and patient with our big group!!! He handled my special occasion with an unmatched generosity of care, heart, and professionalism. I am so grateful we were paired with him. 🙏 The food and drinks were unparalleled to other dining experiences. Everything was absolutely delicious and rewarding! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, especially as we were celebrating my doctoral graduation! I will forever be grateful of our experience at the Refinery Rooftop because of the considerate care of Leo and the rest of the amazing staff! In a city full of restaurants, the Refinery Rooftop not only delivers on quality food, but most importantly they offer an ethos of care to their guests! Everyone was so kind.   I visited Refinery rooftop on Tuesday and had such a great experience. I ordered the chicken panini and an espresso martini, and both were absolutely delicious. Ryan took care of me and was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout my visit. He gave great recommendations, and everything he suggested turned out amazing. The service really made a difference. I’ve already made plans to come back with friends!

  Terrible experience last night. Truly horrifying. Went upstairs to have a drink and enjoy some music with my siblings. After a long day walking around NYC my brother laid back and relaxed to take it all in, was immediately corrected you cannot lay back or sideways on the couches. He corrected his seating and had a foot on a bench was reprimanded again, asking the man named JERMAINE - he was met with hostility and a scary power tripping experience. After speaking to the manager we decided to de escalate and leave but JERMAINE forced his way into the elevator with us (horrifying) where I said “you should just try being kind” this was met with his response “just because your a girl it doesn’t mean you can’t get knocked out”. Never in my life has a man spoken to me like this, then proceeded to tell me to “shut the hell up”. Needless to say this isn’t the last this establishment will be hearing from us. I feel sorry for this man’s mother as he is a true embarrassment to society. On the other hand, Michael who works for the Refinery hotel in charge of security tried his best to make us feel safe for our last night here, which we appreciate very much.

  We held a small wedding reception at this bar, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making our celebration feel special. The staff handled everything seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the moment with our guests. The food was another highlight. The variety on offer catered beautifully to everyone’s tastes, and the quality was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. Several of our guests commented on how much they loved the menu, which says a lot. Overall, the experience couldn’t have been better. The combination of incredible service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere made our reception feel effortless and memorable. We’re so grateful to the team for helping make such an important day even more special
