This is a come back to every time kind of place where you feel welcomed and like you’re getting a warm hug every time. The food is perfection - and for a gluten free diner like myself Nonna Dora’s is like visiting Disney World. They have gf stuffed pastas and focaccia bread that I would eat for every meal if it was all that was left on earth. Their wine list is second to none - come early and enjoy the conversation with staff and delight in every bite!

Incredible experience. All the pasta is floss the executed surfaces at the level you could only expect from an establishment like this wife and I had a memorable night and definitely going back soon.

This is a gem of a restaurant in Tribeca! Modern and comfortable dining area where you can watch the pastas being painstakingly made by hand and they are delicious. This location also has a nice selection of raw fish (crudo), the burratta paired with giardiniera (lovely pickled vegetables) is wonderful as is the Puglian dish of Fave e cicoria, a puree of fava beans with dandelion greens, a hearty dish which, with a piece of bread would be a meal on its own. Every pasta we have tried is so perfectly seasoned and presented, from the ceci e tria to the orrecchiette with rabbit, one could work their way around the entire menu and never be disappointed. The staff and service are friendly, professional and attentive and Nicola, the owner, could not be more hospitable. We love Nonna Dora (both locations) and return again and again.

While the food was very good and the service staff were excellent, our experience was overshadowed by the owner’s son, who was rude and unwelcoming from the moment we arrived. Throughout the evening, he repeatedly conveyed the impression that children were not welcome in the restaurant, which made our family feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
It is unfortunate, as the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff deserved better. However, because of this experience, we will not be returning to Nonna Dora. Fortunately, Tribeca has many excellent restaurants that warmly welcome families.

The 1 star reviews under this restaurant do not lie… I recently visited this restaurant for dinner and was severely underwhelmed. When we walked in we were greeted by (who I think is the owner) watching a basketball game on his phone completely uninterested in his job and couldn’t care less for our arrival. We were seated and immediately I noticed the silverware and glasses were dirty, I asked the server if we could have fresh ones and she looked annoyed that I even asked. The food was very mediocre.. the pasta was not al dente, the sauces were cooked in butter and cream. Which is UNHEARD of for an authentic Italian restaurant. The bathroom was filthy and out of soap. In the end, the server did not seem knowledgeable, she wasn’t friendly or inviting and it wasn’t an enjoyable experience. The food took forever to come out and I honestly didn’t see any real Italian chefs in the kitchen. Which is fine, but don’t advertise to be an authentic Italian restaurant when you’re not. You’re better off going to Serafinas.
