Nestled in the heart of midtown Manhattan, Nomad Diner is a culinary haven where classic comfort meets innovative flair. It is a place to stop by day or night for food and drink inspired by the city’s rich culinary history, featuring an elevated take on established favorites.
I have never left a review somewhere before but I feel compelled to write this because this may have been the worst dining experience I have ever had.
Was told I needed to "wait" to be seated because it was "really busy" at 8am on a Tuesday, meanwhile there were MANY open tables, after awkwardly standing in the middle of the room for 5 minutes I was finally sat.
It then took them another 10 minutes to take my order (eggs, bacon, toast), which came out horribly somehow. Eggs were overcooked and salty, bacon was basically burnt to a crisp, and no butter came with the toast. I then requested butter for the toast, to which took another 10 minutes to get.
This would be somewhat acceptable if the prices reflected the quality, but it was $25 and they have the audacity to suggest tips of 25, 28, and 30% with 28% being the default.
Gross food, gross tipping practices, and bad service.

Diner by name only. They ran out of pancakes on a Sunday!? Waiters were kind but food took forever and it was pretty empty. Menu is limited and pricey for a diner.
