  If Morton's in New York is anything like the polished experience we’ve enjoyed at NanaSteak in Durham, then we’d probably feel right at home there. We’d expect that same attentive service, perfectly cooked steaks, and relaxed upscale atmosphere where you can actually enjoy a long dinner together without feeling rushed. As a couple in our 60s, that classic steakhouse experience — good wine, comfortable seating, and professional staff — is exactly the kind of evening out we appreciate more and more these days.

  Morton's will definitely be getting a visit from me again. The atmosphere was great, very elegant feel. The food came out on time and as a foodie myself the plate presentation was beautiful and my server was very attentive.

  Had such a great time at Morton’s The Steakhouse with a group of ladies! The food was amazing, the drinks were perfect, and the atmosphere made it feel like the perfect girls’ night out. Service was attentive even with our larger group, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!

  I went to Morton’s The Steakhouse in New York expecting a classic, upscale steakhouse experience—and for the most part, that’s exactly what I got, though not without a few caveats. The atmosphere leans heavily into that old-school luxury vibe: dark wood, dim lighting, and a kind of quiet confidence that says this place has been doing the same thing for decades on purpose. It feels more like a business dinner spot than somewhere you’d go for a lively night out, but if you’re into that traditional steakhouse energy, it works. The food is undeniably high quality. The steak was cooked right, well-seasoned, and had that rich, buttery flavor you expect at this price point. Sides were solid but not particularly memorable—good, not great. The bread and starters did their job, but nothing really stood out as unique or surprising. Service was polished and professional, though it felt a bit rehearsed at times. You can tell they have a system and they stick to it. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it doesn’t feel especially personal either—more like you’re part of a well-oiled machine. Where things get a little harder to justify is the price.
