  OVERVIEW- I typically review burgers and cookies, but after visiting Melt Shop, I felt inspired to make an exception and leave a review. I was craving a grilled cheese, so I ordered two Biggie Classics, one standard and one with extra cheese. I had asked for Provolone, but they were out, so they subbed in white cheddar. I also got fries with their burger sauce and chipotle mayo. FOOD REVIEW- I’m giving Melt Shop four out of five stars. The grilled cheese had a rich, cheese-forward flavor without being overwhelming, and everything tasted fresh. The thick-cut French bread had some of the crispiest edges I’ve ever had, and I loved the crispy cheese crust grilled on the outside. I preferred my customized sandwich, but I think the standard version could use a little more cheese to balance the thick bread as the bread can be a little forward at certain bites. I didn’t add extra proteins because I wanted to see how the Biggie Classic held up on its own, but I agree a burger patty or grilled chicken would’ve taken it to another level for sure. The fries were delicious, though, crispy and nicely salted, though my only gripe was I wish the portion was bigger. Between the two sauces, the chipotle mayo was the clear winner and paired perfectly with the grilled cheese. And yes, it really had me going crazy. It was honestly the perfect match for the sandwich. As a cookie reviewer, I had to try their chocolate chip. It wasn’t especially gooey or super soft, but it tasted fresh and like it’d been baked that day. It’s a solid cookie if you’re already there and want a quick dessert without making a separate trip to a dedicated cookie shop. FINAL THOUGHTS- Overall, I think Melt Shop does a great job representing a true American comfort food. Grilled cheese is a classic and they execute it really well. If I had to introduce someone visiting America to a classic grilled cheese, Melt Shop would definitely be one of the places I’d recommend. PRICING- 37.30 (with tax without cookie)

  Idk they take like 10 minutes to make a mid ass burger and then the fries and Mac and cheese is just good.

  I had a very disappointing experience at Melt Shop today. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich. While taking my order, the cashier asked if I wanted to make it a combo, and I said yes. They then asked which soda I would like, and I chose a Coca-Cola. After paying about $13, I naturally assumed my order included the sandwich and the drink. However, when I opened the bag, I found only the sandwich. I went back to the cashier to ask why, especially since I had been asked which drink I wanted. I was then told that the sandwich I selected did not qualify for a combo and that nothing else was included. This is extremely misleading. If a particular sandwich is not eligible for a combo, customers should be informed before they pay. Asking which drink I wanted made me believe that the combo included a beverage, which was clearly not the case. The issue isn’t the cost of the soda it’s the lack of transparency and clear communication. The ordering process was confusing and left me feeling misled. Unfortunately, this experience has left a very negative impression, and I’ll think twice before returning.
