First time eating Dominican. Wow super delicious. We like to order multiple dishes and share when trying new places for us and Everything was great!
Will definitely go there again next time I am in NYC.

This is the place I go get rotisserie chicken from, unfortunately they lost me as a customer.
I have truly never, ever have had such a dry chicken, it was like eating cardboard and it’s a shame because they used to be sooo good.
To add insult to injury they charged me $3 extra dollars for using a credit card!! Never again, adios Malecón😢
Today was my first visit. Live in the area & walked passed it many times. Always had a good crowd, so today I stopped in for lunch. Had the Stewed Oxtail, Arroz Amarillo & Habicheulas Rojas. The food was great. Tasty on all levels & it hit the spot for my craving. I wish the service was on the same level. It felt like the attendee was annoyed I was there & no one followed up with me at all. Would I like more to drink? Would I like anything else? Nothing. I had to flag to get my check. If I want this again...I will just have to get it to go or delivered. The food service industry works really hard & at times, receives undeserved vitriol. That is not this case. This is someone reminding that patrons would like to feel welcomed they chose you.

Hi I am not one to write reviews but I work one block away from el malecón my co worker goes there a lot to get breakfast and he’s complaint is how they regularly get the order wrong and he has to walk back to explain to them and get exactly what what he wanted this morning it happened with a toast he wanted a toast with butter and got no butter so he called and explained he was very upset at how this and other things keep happening when he goes there the reply from the person on the phone was eat it like that that was it am like where the hell is the curtesy the respect to the customer for this reason o will never eat at el malecón ever again and mind you when we have snow storms I order for all my coworkers and spend over $300 in food but I guess I can do this with another restaurant that has more respect for their clients thank you for taking the time for reading this post
