  Magnolia bakery is my #1 spot. Tried cake slices at this location on 2 separate occasions and both times the cake tasted stale. Very disappointing.

  From the beginning the food handler was rude and impatient, and the cashier rudely and loudly asked what was in the paper bag, when she could’ve easily peeked inside the paper bag. (at 5:48 she touched her hair and yawned with no gloves which already breaks the health terms of food and safety) Personally, I think the management should show the staff to attend customers with kindness and to not rush them This wasn’t a great experience due to the rude service I was given

  I always come to Magnolia bakery when I catch the train but this time I ordered 2 lemon bars but only had 1 in the bag. My fault I should of checked, next time I will check.

  I visited Magnolia Bakery at Penn Station. The service was okay, nothing particularly special, and the atmosphere was pretty average. I had high expectations given how famous the bakery is, but the banana pudding honestly tasted pretty standard—nothing extraordinary. It was good, but not as impressive as I was expecting.

  I genuinely regret buying from here. I don't know if it's this location or if they just changed the recipe but I absolutely hated the banana puddings. I've eaten this for 10 years now and it definitely does not taste anything like their banana pudding. I normally go to the Rockefeller location, but decided to come to this one because it was close by. I ordered the small carrot cake pudding and medium classic banana pudding. At first I just thought they were trying something new with the carrot cake pudding because it honestly tasted like sweet butter. As if it was over whipped, nothing about it felt like a pudding. Then when I had the banana pudding today it also tasted like sweet butter. Like it was literally sticking to my spoon like butter. I'm so upset because this was a late birthday treat for myself and now I don't even want to touch it. What a waste. Staff was nice and patient which is the only reason why they get one star from me.
