  The food was delicious when my family and I visited Magnolia Bakery on the Upper West Side. Unfortunately, one employee, who I believe was named Alpha (the name a coworker referred to him as), was incredibly rude to the customer in front of us, becoming frustrated when they couldn’t fit their cupcakes into the small bag and muttering curse words under his breath loudly enough for everyone to hear. Great food, but Magnolia should do better with customer service and employee training.

  Just visited this location, thee absolute worst August 9th at about 430pm. Bought three items total was $23,,,. The vanilla cake was dry, dense and crumble. The other two we didn't even tried as yet. After I paid, I did even heard a thank you, all i heard was next person. I said wait I don't get a thank you, the guy asked for what. I said for what?. I just patronized this business. He said there policy is not to say thank you. I will Never patronize this place. The audacity plus nothing was labeled with a date. He also mentioned it is all baked daily. I'm a pastry chef and that is just ridiculous

  Really cute bakery on the Upper West Side! The banana pudding was delicious, and everything looked fresh and inviting. Great spot to grab a sweet treat while walking around the neighborhood. Quick service and a fun NYC atmosphere

  Tried the milk and cookies banana pudding, milk and cookies cake & cupcake, german chocolate cake. Banana pudding tasted like chocolate banana (B). 🥛🍪cake: (C). Cake was dried out. Frosting nice. The cupcake had a better frosting to cake ratio and base was less dried out. Cupcake version gets a B-. German chocolate cake (C-). Too much cake to frosting ratio.

  BEWARE Without going into long dissertation. The cupcake(s) vanilla and double chocolate - incredibly STALE cake and sloppy icing placed on top of the cupcake! Size of the cupcake(s) was the size of a hockey puck! The banana cream pie consistency was similar to eating soup and beyond - flavorless. Not fresh! This bakery once known for their delicious large indulgent cupcakes (3x times the size of a hockey puck) and freshness, flavors etc., was unmatched. NOT any longer! Seating - table and chairs - filthy. Warning - outside entrance door - Homeless individual consistently throughout the day panhandling harassment! Stay away!
