The delivery took much longer than expected — more than 20 minutes past the time they promised. When that time passed, I tried calling to get an update, but no matter how many times I called, they didn’t answer.
When the delivery driver finally called me to say he was downstairs waiting, one item was missing — a drink. I asked him why it took so long, just trying to understand what happened. I know restaurants can get overwhelmed sometimes and things don’t always go smoothly. But his response was simply: “I don’t know, call customer service,” with a clear attitude of “not my problem, I don’t care.”
I decided to go directly to the restaurant (I’m sick, which is why I paid for delivery in the first place — otherwise I would’ve gone myself, but I wasn’t feeling well). When I got there, I saw there was a huge crowd and a long line spilling outside. At that point, I understood why things might have gone wrong — as someone who has worked in restaurants before, I get it.
Since it was impossible for me to go through the front because of the crowd, I asked the delivery driver (who had arrived there with me) if he could please go through the back and explain the situation. He just kept giving me excuses. I even offered him my phone so he could show the Grubhub receipt to verify everything, but again — more excuses.
Then one of his coworkers came out. I explained everything, showed the receipt, and asked for help. The only response I got was to go through the front — even though it was obvious that wasn’t possible. At that point, I just said forget it and left, obviously frustrated. The whole situation was ridiculous.
I ended up eating cold food that wasn’t as good as it usually is
They didn’t respect the delivery time, and when I tried to call, they even hung up
I paid for delivery but still had to leave my house while feeling sick, just to get rude responses from their staff
