The food was delicious, I got chafa rice with shrimp and chicken. I enjoyed it a lot as it had a lot of flavor. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, very friendly place, and very clean. The waitress was very sweet and kind.

The restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food is delicious and diverse with many options for food and drinks. My personal favorite drink was the delicious and rich mango juice. The server was very kind and tended to every table in a very friendly way. The atmosphere is beautiful, the indoor tables are very nice with art and decorations in the inside and the outside patio has the best seating. The seats are very nice, you get a very nice breeze (not guaranteed of course they can’t control the weather 😁) and there is a nice view with trees around the area and more art with comfortable seating.

I've been here twice. My friends have been here at least 4 times they always get the same dish. In today's visit, my friend mentioned that her pasta from the same dish she always gets was over cooked and extremely mushy. I tried it as well and might has well have been baby food with how mushy it was. We speak to a gentlemen who wasn't out server but worked for the restaurant, a manager maybe. Given his clothes, and i explained the pasta texture and asked if it can be substituted or redone. He said "well that's pasta, you dont want it hard" and I explained that no, but it's far too soft. And it doesn’t have to be hard, nor soft, to be pasta and thats not how it's been when we've had it previously. He said that's how it's made and refused to provide further service. Losing several patrons for reasons I truly don't understand. Our sangria was weak and tasted like fridge. This same guy would walk around our table and ask how things were going but would walk away before we even had the chance to reply. When we came in, we asked to sit outside and walked towards that direction, we were unsure if we were even supposed to follow because he didn't really speak to us. He was very unwelcoming to people who have visited and loved the food and service, up until today. Additionally, they let solicitors in the restaurant, given the location, theres a variety of the walks of life in harlem. An unhoused artist, holding a garbage bag full of tennis balls and a suitcase had walked in and kept trying to get us to buy his drawings after multiple times saying no. Management was nowhere to be found to stop him, from entering. We were in the back of the restaurant in outside seating, for context. He walked from front to back with nobody noticing.

Do not get the chicha pitcher!!!! They charge it as sangria, womt give you a heads up and won’t give you your money back. Not genuine Peruvian food and I was born and raised in peru so I was excited to see many Peruvian flags even tho there’s was not a single Peruvian working there. Desde cuando la chicha morada cuesta tanto? Not even in the nicest restaurants in peru they would ever charge you this ridiculous amount

Is everything ok at Harlemite? Are they closing? We went to last night and the vibes were "going out of business." It took about 30 minutes to receive our drinks and nearly 2 hours for our food to arrive. Some menu items we like, including the 1/2 chicken, were unavailable. Throughout the evening, it appeared there were only 2 staff members working. At one point, another customer approached me with a question because they thought I worked there, simply because there was no staff visible nearby. I want to be clear that the staff who were there were friendly, polite, and doing their best under difficult circumstances. My criticism is not directed at them. From my perspective, this seemed less like a staff issue and more like a management or ownership issue. Please respond to this comment and let me know what's going on.
