Do not get bottomless not worth the price… the waitress only remembered to bring 2 rounds of drinks in the hour and a half time frame. The food was fine, nothing I would recommend. Overall, there are better places to go with a rooftop! Staff is clearly operating with ChatGPT enterprise… they all speak like they are on tiktok too long.

If I could leave zero stars I would because my party was not even seated after waiting for an hour and 40 minutes at the bar for a 2pm reservation on a Saturday afternoon. The hostess was so combative and beyond rude in our attempts to inquire when we might be seated, and would not comp our drinks as we waited which feels like something very easy to do that would have gone a long way. They offered us free well shots (on empty stomachs…) knowing full well we would decline. The party next to us at the bar also had a 2pm reservation and was still waiting to be seated as well. She placed blame on us for being “fifteen minutes late” - I ask you, reader, what restaurant are you aware of that doesn’t have a 15 min grace period? Her final solution was to lie the bouncer on the curb downstairs saying that we were “cussing her out” to have him come remove us from the premises, when not a single person was using foul language. Not how you treat customers, not how you run a business. Atrocious. Not sure what bots are writing these glowing reviews, don’t waste your time.

We were 15 minutes late to our 2:00 PM reservation, and we fully own that. The restaurant absolutely could have turned us away, and honestly, that would have been preferable to what happened instead. What followed was almost 2 hours of being strung along like idiots. At first, we were told “30 more minutes.” Then another delay. Then another. By 3:42 PM, we finally gave up and left (never having been seated) despite having a reservation. We sat at the bar while waiting and it still took 30 minutes just to get drinks. Any restaurant with even a hint of hospitality or common sense would have comped them after wasting nearly two hours of our day. Instead, when we asked, they generously offered us… a free shot. Because obviously people who haven’t eaten all day are dying to take tequila shots while waiting indefinitely for a table. The most shocking part wasn’t even the delay, it was the staff attitude. There was never a single sincere apology. Instead it genuinely felt like interacting with a group of teenagers. Eye rolling, giggling, whispering, laughing at us while we asked for updates about a reservation that was nearly TWO HOURS past the scheduled time. Then came the best part: the “manager” apparently told the bouncer we were swearing at staff and needed to be removed. Creative attempt to get us to leave, but unfortunately for them, the bouncer was actually the most professional person in the building. After chatting with him for a bit (great guy, honestly), we decided to leave on our own. For context: I worked in the service industry as a waitress. I understand reservations get delayed. I understand restaurants get slammed. What I do NOT understand is how a place can operate with this level of disorganization and complete lack of accountability. We were also informed that although reservations are supposedly limited to 90 minutes, guests can simply pay to extend their table time longer. Truly genius operational planning there. I can’t imagine why your reservations spiral out of control. This is the first review under 4 stars I’ve ever left in my life, which should tell you how unbelievably bad this experience was. IGC stands for “In Good Company,” which is honestly the funniest part of the entire experience.

I had a terrible experience trying to have brunch at Glass Ceiling. It was pouring rain, and the doorman immediately brushed me off, saying they were fully booked. I stepped next door, booked a reservation online for that exact time, and came back. He then kept me standing in the rain while demanding ID just to enter the building for brunch. Upstairs, the host was just as rude and unhelpful. My husband had the same experience downstairs and arrived soaked as well. We were about to sit down, but decided not to spend our money somewhere that treats guests this poorly. Based on this experience, I’ll be avoiding Glass Ceiling and their other venues.
