My drink was prepared in a reasonable amount of time, but when it came to my sandwich, there was no one working at that station. I noticed two employees sitting in the back while no one was preparing food. After waiting about four minutes, I told the employee at the register that I had to leave soon because I didn’t have much time. He spoke to a woman wearing a hijab, who appeared to be the manager or supervisor. Instead of assisting promptly, she seemed visibly irritated. She slowly walked to the sandwich station, took her time putting on her gloves, and then paused while taking several deep, noticeable breaths, giving the impression that she was frustrated about having to make my order. By that point, I had been waiting approximately nine minutes. I told the cashier that I no longer wanted the sandwich and requested a refund because I was out of time. The employee with the nasty attitude came over to refund me the money for the sandwich without apologizing for the delay or the experience. She absolutely didn’t care!! I then asked the cashier for the lady’s name, but he refused to provide it. The employee I am referring to is an African American woman, approximately 5’8”, with a slim build, who wears a hijab. I understand that identifying someone by appearance is not ideal, but I am providing this description because I was unable to obtain her name. This was, by far, the worst experience I have had at a Dunkin location. The lack of urgency, poor attitude, and unprofessional customer service were extremely disappointing. I plan to contact corporate and the store’s management on Monday to report this experience.
