Nestled within the historic Church of the Heavenly Rest along Museum Mile, directly opposite Central Park, the Church's Upper East Side Café is one of our most special locations — operated by Bluestone Lane and beloved by the local community.
In partnership with the Church, we proudly operate the café on behalf of the church as part of this extraordinary community space — welcoming locals, visitors, and parishioners alike throughout the day. On weekends, we also serve coffee alongside Church services, extending the ritual of gathering from café to congregation.
Framed by the Church's original sandstone architecture and vaulted archways, the space offers a calm, light-filled setting that feels both elevated and deeply grounded in its surroundings.
It's a place to pause — whether for a morning coffee, a long brunch, or a quiet moment between walks along Fifth Avenue.
Our menu reflects Bluestone Lane's signature approach to modern café culture — seasonal, produce-driven dishes designed to complement our specialty coffee program.
From Avocado Smash and house-made granola to our much-loved Gluten-Free Banana Bread, the offering is familiar, nourishing, and consistently high quality.
Beyond daytime service, we also collaborate with the Church to host evening and special events — bringing people together through shared experiences, conversation, and community.
With indoor table service and outdoor seating along Fifth Avenue, this is a destination to discover — where café culture meets one of New York's most iconic and historic settings.

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Bluestone Lane. This has become my absolute favorite spot in the city — not just because the food is incredible, but because every single experience here feels so warm and welcoming. The service is always above and beyond. Every staff member is consistently kind, attentive, and makes you feel truly cared for, which is honestly rare to find in NYC.
We were served by Abel during our last visit, and he was SO incredibly kind and thoughtful. He really took care of us from start to finish and even surprised us with a sweet treat, which completely made our day. It’s those little gestures that make this place feel special and memorable every single time.
The food is phenomenal with so many healthy options, amazing brunch choices, and everything always tastes fresh and beautifully made. Whether you’re stopping in for coffee, brunch, or just somewhere peaceful to relax, it never disappoints.
One of my favorite things about this location is the atmosphere. On a beautiful day, sitting outside is perfect for people watching along Fifth Avenue. But inside is just as stunning the café is nestled into an old church, which gives it such a unique, cozy, and almost magical feeling. It somehow feels both peaceful and lively at the same time.
This place truly has my heart. Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, and the sweetest people working there. I’ll keep coming back again and again. 🤍

Food is tasty, but service was very bad even it was not overcrowded. I didn't received my order and customers who came after me finished their orders and finally left.
And still i didn't get my order.

I come here frequently , and love the service provided by all the staff. Especially Abel, who is consistently attentive and warm. A great place for a coffee run or mid day break. Big fan of the matcha berry drink and pastries.
