I couldn’t get my receipt, but man. I have a lot to say.
I’d been here a few times over the years, and each time I’ve had a poor experience. Today’s was genuinely the worst experience I’ve had in fast food.
I came in because I was starving, forgetting the previous negative experiences, and instantly realizing I shouldn’t have gone in. I waited 15 minutes when the line only had three people ahead of me. I order a burrito; the guy asks me twice if I wanted a burrito, and even showed me the tortilla and pointed at it, “You mean this right?”. Which was probably one of the funnier parts of this interaction.
Not that it’s a huge deal, but half the line was empty, and no one was in a rush to restock it, besides the Steak that was being cut at that very minute. The salsa half of the line was bare, which also wasn’t a huge deal to me, but something worth mentioning.
By the time I pay for my meal, the guy can’t wrap my burrito. There wasn’t a lot in there, just brown rice, black beans, double chicken, cheese and lettuce. He tried twice, shrugged, and whoever was on the cash register was like “Oh come on.”. He took his gloves off, and started to ask the guy cutting the fresh steak if he could have some. This was also one of the funnier parts of the interaction, but on the more annoying end. Wrapping my burrito took a few more minutes, and at this point I was already in there for like, 20 minutes. I wanted time to eat before class, which I didn’t really have as much time to do now. The tortilla fell apart, and the cashier asked if it was alright to add another tortilla, which I said was fine. This wasn’t a huge deal, but the lack of urgency was getting me more frustrated.
The last part of this interaction was actually infuriating. I was rushing out the door, and I heard someone hiss at me to get my attention. I turn around, and the cashier claimed that I hadn’t paid for my food, which I had. As I was going to pull up proof that I had on my end, she realized I did, and didn’t offer an apology, saying “No wait, you did pay for it”.
Listen, I never leave complaints, this in fact is my first one, but this was genuinely the worst experience I had. On top of it, the food itself was the driest I’ve ever had. I worked at Chipotle for over a year and I know what the standards are; none of them were met, at all. Whatever you do, do NOT go to this Chipotle. The years have not made it any better.
