    Our service at Catch was perfect. Our server, Shakhol gave us an amazing dining experience. She was lovely and outstanding. The manager, Aurelia, helped coordinate a wonderful evening for us. It exceeded all our expectations. The food from beginning to end was all top notch. The supporting staff was very attentive to our needs. Thank you to everyone at Catch for such a memorable night!

    Wow, what an incredible experience from start to finish. The restaurant is beautiful and sets such a sexy mood. The complimentary bread was phenomenal, like a savory butter croissant meets a brioche bun. We ordered the wagyu gyoza and crispy rice cakes, and both were excellent, with really unique flavors. We also loved the Crudo Di Catch, which was as pretty as it was flavorful, and the filet was perfectly charred and seasoned. The chocolate dessert was as good as it looked: rich, decadent, and the perfect ending. Cocktails were on point. Service was impeccable. Can’t wait to go back!

    The food was superb and easily the highlight of our evening. Unfortunately, the service fell far short of the quality of the cuisine. We arrived on time for our 8:45 p.m. reservation and were seated around 9:10 p.m. While the wait was longer than expected, we didn’t mind. The hostesses were warm and welcoming, and the bartenders were equally friendly while we waited and enjoyed our drinks. Our experience changed once we were seated. Our server, Anthony, introduced himself and then largely disappeared. We spent long stretches waiting for him to return. At one point, I asked whether it would be possible to order just one chicken bao bun. I understand the restaurant’s policy that the dish is not available individually, and I completely respected that decision. I only asked because I’m currently on GLP-1 medication and eat relatively small portions. After placing our entrée order, the lack of attentiveness became increasingly noticeable. Anthony refilled my brother’s water several times, yet my own glass remained empty throughout the meal. We were never asked whether we would like another round of drinks, despite having finished the ones we ordered at the bar before being seated. Once we finished our meal, our dirty plates remained on the table for more than 20 minutes. By then, any interest we had in ordering dessert had disappeared. At one point, we even made eye contact with another server, who looked directly at our table and the empty dishes but simply walked away without offering any assistance. I do want to recognize the manager, Kaitlyn, who stopped by our table at the beginning of our visit, introduced herself, and made herself available if we needed anything. She was gracious and professional, and I appreciated her hospitality. It’s disappointing because the kitchen clearly delivers an exceptional product, and the front-of-house team makes a wonderful first impression. Unfortunately, the service we received throughout dinner did not match that standard and ultimately detracted from what could have been an outstanding dining experience.

    Welcome back, Catch!! Catch has officially reclaimed its place as one the top destinations and is putting the Meatpacking District back on the map. Since reopening, it has brought a renewed energy to the neighborhood, drawing a vibrant crowd while delivering an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The food: the sushi is incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. Standout menu items include the Ahi Tuna Pizza, Hamachi Crudo, Torched Hokkaido Scallops, Bao Buns, Angry Lobster Pasta, Hellfire Roll, and the Wagyu Hot Rock. Every dish was packed with flavor and I would definitely reorder on my next trip. Make sure to leave room for desert for their “Hit Me” Chocolate Cake which absolutely lives up to the hype. The Service: What further elevates Catch beyond the food is the impeccable attention to detail and outstanding hospitality by the entire team. Our waiter made excellent suggestions and spaced out our courses perfectly. Management checked in to make sure we were enjoying the experience, and we certainly were! So happy it’s return and absolutely adding catch back into my dining rotation!

    The food was excellent and we had a great overall experience. I especially want to mention that our waiter was friendly, attentive, and provided great service throughout the meal. There is one area I think could be improved. Prior to our reservation, Ali texted me to confirm that we were celebrating our anniversary and asked about any dietary preferences. I mentioned that I preferred no scallions in my dish. However, when we were seated, we were asked about both of these things again, which made it seem like the information hadn’t been communicated to the staff. Additionally, since this was an anniversary celebration, I had requested a message to be written on our dessert plate. I noticed that the tables next to us received personalized writing on their desserts, while ours did not, which was a little disappointing on a special occasion. That said, the food was great and our waiter was wonderful. With a bit more attention to communication and special requests, the experience would have been perfect.
