  After an incredibly challenging day, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in NYC, as well as MJ and Becky in Sales, absolutely exceeded our expectations! Only a small number of people from our large school group were able to attend lunch at Bubba Gump’s due to transportation issues. For those that did, the staff welcomed us with kindness, professionalism, and understanding even though we were extremely late. They worked quickly and efficiently to accommodate everyone without making us feel rushed or like an inconvenience. The servers were friendly, patient, and organized, ensuring that all of our students, teachers, and chaperones were taken care of. Most of us were unable to make it to the restaurant at all. MJ and Becky went to other Landry Restaurants to obtain to-go boxes in order to provide us all with food. They verbally took nearly 200 orders over the phone, packed the to-go boxes, and had hot, delicious food for our children and staff. The food was amazing, served promptly, and exactly what our group needed after such a stressful day. What impressed us most was the staff's positive attitude. They easily could have been frustrated by our unexpected arrival time and requests, but instead they showed exceptional hospitality and made the best of a difficult situation. Their flexibility, compassion, and outstanding customer service turned what could have been another disappointment into one of the highlights of our trip. We are incredibly grateful to the entire team for going above and beyond. We highly recommend Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. to anyone visiting New York City and look forward to returning on a future school trip!

  We are a large group of more than 15 including elderly and we are seated in a corner with no space for movement to or even to use the rest room or most important, in case of any fire emergency five of us are outta luck!!! When we asked for better table arrangements, both wait staff and management were unaccommodating. I do NOT recommend this place for large groups.

  Wanted to have a bite and few beer to kill time. The first waiter we encountered had bad attitude... After taking our food orders i asked for a modelo beer. She brought it to the table didn't ask whether I want a glass or anything.. I asked for lemons for the beer which she brought but dumped them on the table and left. No glass and the lemons were obliviously to big to slip through the beer bottle neck. I complained about the service so we got a replacement waiter terrific who was the best ever called Alexis or Lexi..She nade us quickly firget the incompetent service we had received earlier. The stuffed shrimp food was good. The restuarant is themed restuarant on the movie Forest Gump..

  I had a very disappointing experience at Bubba Gump NYC. I made a reservation for my family of three, but when we arrived, the host seated us at a table for 12 right next to the bathroom. It was uncomfortable and not what I expected after making a reservation. When I asked if we could be moved, the host told us there were no waiters available for the other tables. However, shortly afterward, I watched a family of four get seated by the window and another large group get seated elsewhere. That made it seem like the explanation I was given wasn’t true, which was very frustrating. The service from both the host and our waiter was poor. We felt ignored and unwelcome throughout our visit. The experience was so unpleasant that my husband didn’t order anything because we were so uncomfortable with the seating and the way we were treated. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but honesty and good customer service go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below our expectations. Based on how we were treated, I would not return, and I can’t recommend this restaurant.

  The peel-and-eat shrimp steamed in beer is the starter worth opening with, sweet and fresh and served with cocktail sauce and melted butter. The Shrimpers Heaven platter gives you the full range, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, battered fish, hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw all in one go, the kind of platter that arrives and immediately makes the table crowd around it. The shrimp jambalaya is the more composed option, shrimp and chicken and andouille sausage in a properly spiced tomato base over rice, the kind of Southern comfort dish that earns its place on a seafood menu. The coconut shrimp with a sweet mango dipping sauce is the most ordered appetizer for good reason, golden and crispy and a little sweet in a way that works completely. The hand-shaken margaritas are a genuine highlight of the drinks menu, big and cold and not watered down the way you might expect in a tourist corridor. The window seats looking out over the Times Square lights are the ones to request, particularly after dark when the whole spectacle lights up outside and makes dinner feel like its own kind of show.
