Forrest Gump is one of my all time favorite movies, so i get very excited about going to the restaurants, but this visit was underwhelming. My waiter didn't talk to me at all about the movie or anything else, she really just made me feel like my being there was an inconvenience to her. She also disappeared for a large portion of time after my food arrived to have a smoke break, which she announced to her coworkers in front of me and another table she was waiting on. A busser was the one who noticed when I was ready to cash out. The movie also stopped and restarted halfway through and most tvs in the restaurant were not even playing the movie. They also should put on subtitles for the movie if they are not going to have the audio on.
My food was excellent, amazing garlic bread. And the employee in the gift shop was very nice.

Excellent experience! Serge was extremely friendly, attentive, and always smiling throughout the entire service. He also understands Portuguese, which made our experience even more comfortable. Without a doubt, one of the best seafood restaurants we’ve ever visited. Outstanding service and amazing food. Highly recommended!

Disappointing second visit. I ordered the Alabama Chicken Pasta- which was listed as a cream sauce. When it arrived, I discovered that the cream sauce was not simply an alfredo-like sauce, but was actually very seasoned and very spicy for my palette. I called a waitress over, told her I didnt like it, and she reassured me that it was okay and that they get that quite often. She then offered to take it and get a fresh order made without the spice in the sauce. The new order was MUCH better, but when the bill arrived, my husband and I discovered that we had been charged for the second dish. No mention of us being charged for it when the waitress offered to replace it. Even more frustrating is, if we had known we were going to pay for that first order, we would have taken it with us in a doggie bag for my husband to eat! We were frustrated and I was in tears when we finished, paid, and headed downstairs, where we were told to go for our souvenir cup. However, the lady downstairs in the store, with ZERO personality, told us that she didn't have them and that we needed to go back upstairs. It took a few minutes to get anyone's attention upstairs, but we eventually got our cup, albeit without an apology, and were able to finally get out of there.

Mr. Anderson treated my mom and I to a wonderful dinner at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. I offered a fancier place as this was a mother’s day weekend treat, but nope! She was delighted to have a giant po-boy special and while I don’t eat seafood (wrong place to come I know) the baby back ribs were a perfect choice. Quantity of food was good. While O could have eaten another rack of ribs, I did have enough room for the chocolate lava cake.
All in all, for some 30years of movie nostalgia, the place and the service left us all smiling and with full bellies. No reservations needed, entering felt like a speakeasy. Go to the back of the retail store and head up the stairs.
All in all, don’t take it too seriously, have a great night with James, and watch the bustle of Times Square below.
Also, my mom said, seriously? Nobody will believe you wrote this, nor read this. But dear reader, I hope you do, and I hope you take your mom to a fun and casual dinner here.

I visited this location around 10:30 PM, just before closing, and I was really excited because I love the movie and had high expectations. I ordered a seafood platter to go (fried fish, shrimp, and seafood hushpuppies/balls) which cost about $35–$36.
Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the price or the hype. While one piece of fish was okay, the other was mostly breading with very little fish inside. The French fries felt like the 'scraps' from the bottom of the bag—small and not what you'd expect for the price. The sauces were actually very good, but the overall portion and quality of the proteins were disappointing. It felt like average food that I could have prepared at home.
On a positive note, the service at the pick-up counter was excellent. The staff member was very entertaining and professional, which is why I left a tip. However, the meal itself was just average. I came for the hype, but I left feeling like it’s just another overpriced tourist spot. I'd give the food a 2 or 3-star rating at most.
