Firstly, the pricing caught me off guard. Once tax was added, the cost felt quite high for what was a fairly standard coffee. I was also surprised to be prompted to tip before receiving either the service or the product. In my view, tipping should reflect the quality of the experience, so being asked upfront didn’t sit quite right. After waiting a few minutes, I was served by a friendly barista, which I appreciated. However, the coffee itself was underwhelming. What was labelled as a flat white didn’t resemble one in the traditional sense—typically, I’d expect a smaller cup with a double shot of espresso and a well-balanced milk ratio. Instead, it was served in a larger cup, filled mostly with milk, and lacked the strong, rich coffee flavour you’d expect. It was more like a lukewarm, milky drink than a proper flat white. Overall, while the staff were pleasant, the combination of high price and disappointing quality means it’s not somewhere I’d be keen to return to in a hurry.
