  Very disappointing experience at Angaar Restaurant. The food quality and hygiene standards were not worth the high prices charged. The chutney looked like it had excessive food coloring added. After eating, the yellow color stayed on our fingers, which felt very unhygienic and unhealthy. We ordered tea, samosa, and mixed veg pakora. The tea tasted like a ready-made premix instead of freshly prepared tea. The pakoras seemed stale and looked like they had been reheated and fried multiple times. The samosa was also disappointing — too many cashews and raisins were added, making it taste very different from an authentic samosa. Overall, both the food quality and quantity were poor compared to the price. Definitely not the experience expected from a restaurant charging premium rates.

  Love Angaar! This has been my go to Indian spot for years on the UWS. The staff is so kind and the food is always incredible. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu - highly recommend always!!

  A great lunch special! I loved getting to try an assortment of dishes and the naan was hot and fluffy. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

  Had a great experience here last night. I was looking for highly rated Indian food near Columbus Circle and Angaar was the closest and best. The venue is nice, food was delicious and our server (Jaman - as well as the other young ladies) was friendly, professional and efficient. We were impressed and there was a stream of obviously regular locals returning, which is always a positive sign. Well worth visiting.
