  Wow! My wife and I decided to try Far East Gourmet for our date night meal, all I can say is wow. Our meal was nothing short of exceptional, so flavorful and so well balanced. The staff was super attentive and professional, taking great care of us for the evening. The atmosphere was comfortable, well lit, and well thought out. It was a nice surprise for the owner to greet us too, a special touch knowing whose behinds the scenes making all the magic happen. We loved and know you will too, you won't be disappointed.

  Kind of a bullshit place. They don’t serve wine or beer and they don’t allow you to bring your own? In New York State, it is generally Legal for an establishment that does not hold a liquor license to allow patrons to bring and consume their own alcoholic beverages (BYOB). I believe that, technically, a restaurant needs to have a BYO license if it doesn’t have a full liquor license. I know some new places that have full licenses pending are nervous about BYO because they don’t have a BYO license and don’t want to jeopardize their regular license application.

  I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food that we ordered and I can’t wait to visit this restaurant again! The chef is from the north of China, so the menu is authentic and beautifully presented. Overall this was a great experience.

  Updated interior, exceptionally comfortable seating, and food which is caringly prepared by Chef-Owner Han, make this new restaurant a welcome addition to the Orange County NY dining scene. Yes, the menu is still limited in scope (the restaurant is just a month old), but everything we ordered was delicious and visually delightful as well. Highly recommended.

  The food was top notch. We had the egg fried rice, garlic green beans & braised short ribs, along with the pork & shrimp siu mai for an appetizer, and cheesecake for dessert. The decor was very inviting & the music was great. It was low enough to allow conversation. During pauses in conversation when I actually listened to it, it was lounge-style but covers of more modern songs. I heard Metallica, Nirvana, Rihanna & others. Havier, our server, was very attentive & quick to answer any of our questions about the menu. The owner came out to introduce himself & welcome us to his restaurant. We will definitely be back
