  The selection at the Mamaroneck/Larchmont store is OK, but I have had a real problem with expired and expiring dairy and meat items. The expiration dates need to be checked very carefully, as they sometimes still have expired (or soon to be expiring) items. Two recent examples just from this week: I bought 3 chocolate milks and checked the first bottle to make sure the expiration date was OK. Yesterday I started to drink the last of those bottles and it tasted funny; sure enough, it had expired a couple of days ago. The second example is from today (July 6th): I bought steak tips (just over $15) and put them in my fridge meat drawer (temp is cold and fine), then went to grill them today. They looked a little gray and smelled bad, but the sell by date was July 9th. So, Stop&Shop does a very poor job of freshness and checking expiration dates on their items. I wish I had another supermarket alternative, but Trader Joes and DeCiccos and Whole Foods are extremely expensive and don't have a big selection.

  I could always find what I need at this Stop & Shop location. I must say , Marlene , the cashier who works here is so pleasant , friendly and helpful to me and other shoppers in the store. I always go to her register ! Although , everyone is very accommodating here. Overall good experience every time I stop and shop 🤭 😁
