The customer service at this location has consistently been disappointing. Calling it subpar would honestly be an understatement. Having employees represent your business this way is exactly why customers choose to go elsewhere.
There is one manager in particular who repeatedly handles interactions unprofessionally. She has mentioned that she recognizes me because I come in often, yet still doesn’t know how to properly greet or communicate with customers, which is frustrating and disappointing.
Each visit, I politely request two sides of shredded cheese instead of having it added to my bowl because by the time I get home, the cheese melts. It’s a simple accommodation, but instead of receiving basic customer service, I’m often met with attitude and unnecessary comments. On one occasion, this manager turned to a coworker and commented that I come in every day and ask for the same thing. Making remarks about a customer in front of them is unprofessional and unnecessary.
To make matters worse, when I asked for her name afterward, she refused to provide it, even after a coworker suggested that her service should be reviewed. Customer service costs nothing, but respect and professionalism seem to be lacking here.
That said, I do want to recognize employees who make an effort. One employee, Ruben (apologies if I misspelled his name), consistently greets customers and wishes them a good night after each visit. That level of friendliness and professionalism deserves recognition.
Because of experiences like this, I sometimes leave and drive to the Rye location instead. No matter how busy they are, I’m consistently treated with professionalism and good customer service there. The customer service at this location has consistently been disappointing.
