  Wonderful fresh food ! It’s a mom and pops kind of place, so service is a little slow. It’s worth the wait though.

  Italian food at its finest, reminds me of Arthur ave. Food was amazing, authentic and fresh. Chef Matteo was extremely nice and cooked delicious meals for us, was nice to have a conversation and hear the back story. Worth a visit to whoever is looking for good food, will be back!

  Food and service were amazing. This young family is straight from Italy and you can tell! We can’t wait to come back and try the homemade pasta. We wil be back for sure.

  Vilagio in Mahopac is truly a hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious, from the fresh baked bread and homemade pasta to the perfectly prepared entrees and amazing desserts. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and welcoming, making it perfect for a family dinner or a night out. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. You can really tell they take pride in both their food and customer service. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We will definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Italian food and a great dining experience!

  Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. This place truly sets the standard for what an Italian restaurant should be. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. They even brought out complimentary bruschetta to start, which was fresh, flavorful, and a perfect introduction to the meal. For our entrees, we had the chicken Francese and the chicken scarpariello—both were outstanding. The chicken Francese was perfectly tender with a bright, lemony sauce that wasn’t too heavy, and the chicken scarpariello had just the right balance of savory, tangy, and a little kick. You can tell everything is made with care and high-quality ingredients. What really made the night special, though, was the owner. He went out of his way to check on us, make conversation, and ensure everything was perfect. That kind of personal touch is rare and made us feel like more than just customers. Between the exceptional food, top-notch service, and welcoming atmosphere, this place easily earns five stars. Can’t wait to come back.
