Absolutely stunning lake views from the deck and lawn (and most parts of the entire complex). Lots of wine to pick from, of course! Didn't have any of the cheese/appetizer trays but they looked delicious. Couldn't try the restaurant as it was booked for a wedding.

I had dropped in quickly a few years ago, liked it, and in planning a recent (early Aug. 2026) return trip to the Finger Lakes with a bigger party who had no specific opinions on wineries to visit, I had to think "where could we go if there's only time for one winery, but a winery where they feel like they got a full experience?" I chose Wagner and it worked out great in checking off all the boxes and being a great first winery experience for some in our group.
We ordered a few wine tasting flights--there are pre-set ones or you can build your own (on your own or with assistance of the staff asking what you like, etc.) and enjoyed the patio... and then the covered area right before it could rain! From either seating spot, the views are incredible. I would advise keeping an eye on kitchen closing times. Coming right after the kitchen closed wasn't a dealbreaker but an appetizer or two would've made a fuller tasting experience to me so I'll know for next time!
There's also a nice wine/merch shop and an area where you can read/learn about their history and story in winemaking. Didn't get to the cafe but looks/sounds like a nice one and is on the list for a future trip!

Wagner estate vineyards made an extra special location to get married since it was the Wagner's son that I was marrying. The only thing that would have made it better, is if I hadn't found out he was having an affair a month before the wedding. Everything about the venue was incredible, minus their son's mistress being present. Would highly recommend! (The venue, not the family).

Pretty place with a beautiful view. There is a cafe/restaurant, a brewery and a winery with lots of both indoor and outdoor seating. We had beer which was good.

Out of all the Winerys I have been to, this was by far the worst! We were unfortunately late for our tasting but were told we could still move forward. We were grateful for the understanding and grace of the front staff. When our group went to the back, we were met with a very rude, disrespectful and condescending man named John that made us feel 'less than' for being late. If it was an issue then we should not have been allowed back. I can understand frustration but that does not need to equal disrespect. He refused to serve is wines we actually wanted to sample. We had brought our bride-to-be to which he made comments that made is so uncomfortable that we ending up leaving and not going through with the tasting.
We went to many other places after that with warm and welcoming company and service. We shared our experience with others and were shocked that EVERY person we spoke with had nothing positive to say about the service and specifically John from Wagner.
There are many great vineyards around the Finger Lakes. I wouldn't waste my time with Wagner.
