- QDQuantia DhanaAug 24, 20261.0⭐ 1/5 — Extremely concerning response to a potential medical emergency On Monday, August 24, 2026, at approximately 12:14 PM, I noticed a man who appeared to be passed out on the sidewalk approximately 100–200 feet from this Dunkin’ location. I drove into the parking lot and spoke with a second man who was coherent and visibly upset about the situation. I asked him what was going on with the man on the sidewalk. He told me that the man had said he needed an ambulance and that he had asked the employees at Dunkin’ to call 911, but they refused. I want to be clear that I did not personally witness that initial interaction with the Dunkin’ employees, so I cannot independently confirm exactly what was said. That is what the second man reported to me. After hearing this and having personally seen the man on the sidewalk, I immediately called 911 myself to request emergency assistance. After calling 911, I went inside Dunkin’ and asked the employees why 911 had not been called. There were two employees working at approximately 12:14 PM. The older female employee essentially dismissed my concern and provided no meaningful explanation. Police subsequently arrived, followed by an ambulance. I understand that the man was outside of the restaurant and that employees should not be expected to leave the building, physically intervene, or put themselves in an unsafe situation. That is not my concern. My concern is that there was a person visibly passed out nearby who had reportedly said he needed an ambulance, yet when I went inside after calling 911 to understand why emergency services had reportedly not been contacted, I experienced what I perceived as a dismissive response and a troubling lack of concern. I hope the management and franchise owner of this location review what occurred, including the circumstances surrounding the two employees working at approximately 12:14 PM, and ensure employees understand how to appropriately respond when they are made aware of a potential medical emergency. Thankfully, I called 911 and both police and an ambulance responded.
