I had such a wonderful experience at Rocco’s Tacos, and I have to give a special shoutout to my server, Sam! From the moment we sat down, Sam was friendly, attentive, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was exceptional, and Sam went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable.
It’s not every day you come across someone who genuinely cares about their customers and takes pride in providing great service. Sam made us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our entire meal.
Thank you, Sam, for making our visit so memorable! You truly deserve recognition. We will definitely be back! 🌮❤️
The complimentary chips come with three salsas and are deliciously seasoned. What really made our visit was our waitress, Sam, who made sure we had enough chips and water. She was attentive, friendly, and gave excellent service. Will definitely come back!

Roccos Tacos & Tequila Bar
We past by this really great looking Taco & Tequila Bar & was thoroughly impressed by the style, design & decor.
There was loud music, a festive atmosphere and Tequila & Tacos flowing everywhere!
My opinion... The music needs serious tweaking, some nice clarity with less drowning/ muffled bass.
The food was good, no doubt- but not great. The service was good but no connection- that could be partially due to volume of music/bass.
I recently visited a spot called World Taco Factory in Nassau County and in my opinion- and honestly, that's how a bar/taco establishment should be run.
When nachos come out, they shouldn't become wet and useless after 2 minutes. The Rocco Nacho presentation was wonderful but they quickly turned into mush & hard to eat.
The guac, same story- the process requires improvement- go watch Besito's in Huntington, copy that- and I believe you'll be much better.
I saw way too many front staff that seemed useless. Not because they are... but because they require useful role definition.
A boss appearing young gentlemen- who didn't check on us- that's not good. There seems to be a disconnect here.
On the bright side, the place looks great, the music pumps, the customers seemed happy and we all live another day.
It seems like a great place to meet, drink and have a few bites but it's not going to win any taste contests..
As it currently is being run, if you're dang serious about food/taste, I would not recommend.

Customer service/hostess experience was extremely disappointing.
We came here with a party of 8, including 4 small children. The restaurant was clearly not very busy, yet we were told there would be a 40-minute wait. We were then told that, rather than waiting, we could put tables together ourselves and sit at the bar to order.
We were not offered any assistance putting the tables together, and no menus were provided. I had to go to the hostess and ask for a menu and a children’s menu. She gave me one adult menu and one children’s menu for a party of 8. When I asked for three additional adult menus, she told me she could not provide them—even though there was clearly a stack of menus sitting right there, and they were not sitting anyone.
We went ahead and ordered at the bar, as we were trying to manage four small children.within seconds of ordering we were told that our table was ready. We were then told we could not transfer the food to the table. This all happened as table was immediately next to the hostesses who could clearly see that we were struggling with toddlers sitting on high barstools.
What is especially frustrating is that the wait ended up being only about 10 minutes—not the 40 minutes we were originally told.
I understand that restaurants have policies and procedures, but once we placed our order and paid for our food, we were still customers. The way we were treated made us feel as though ordering at the bar somehow made us less deserving of basic customer service and consideration.
The rest of the staff seemed lovely, so this is specifically about the hostess/customer service experience. Unfortunately, with so many other options in the plaza, we will take our business elsewhere. We will not be returning.Customer service/hostess experience was extremely disappointing.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Experience at Rocco’s Tacos – Walt Whitman Shops!
From the minute we walked into Rocco’s Tacos at the Walt Whitman Shops, we knew this wasn’t going to be just another dinner out. The place has an incredible energy — lively, upbeat, and welcoming. The music and atmosphere almost make you feel like you’ve walked into a great lounge rather than just a restaurant. It sets the mood immediately.
We started with a House Margarita and a Watermelon Margarita, and both were fantastic — refreshing, perfectly balanced, and exactly what you want with Mexican food. The chips came with three different salsas, and every one of them was delicious. It was a great start to the meal.
A huge part of what made our experience so enjoyable was our waitress, Xuan. She was absolutely awesome! Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Great service can completely change a dining experience, and Xuan definitely took ours to another level.
Then came the main courses — Enchiladas and Al Carbon — and they did not disappoint. The flavors were outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and incredibly flavorful without being overwhelming. Even better, the food paired perfectly with the margaritas.
Between the lively atmosphere, great music, excellent margaritas, fantastic food, and exceptional service from Xuan, Rocco’s Tacos delivered the complete experience.
If you’re at the Walt Whitman Shops or anywhere around Huntington and want someplace that feels like more than just dinner, give Rocco’s Tacos a try. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere — and definitely order a margarita!
Five stars all around. We will absolutely be back! 🌮🍹⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
