Party of 4, we met a fifth person who had already gotten a shake. I asked if I could use the mens room, wanting to wash my hands before dealing with any food after spending time outdoors. They said I had to order something first because the bathroom is for customers. I said that we are customers, and that I just wanted to use the mens room while the rest were looking at the topings. I also pointed that one of us had in fact already gotten a shake, and that the women's room door was open. I was still told that I need to order first, which basically amounts to being called a liar. After all this, one would expect an immaculate restroom but in fact there was some brown-green stuff on top of the waste basket that looked like human feces. Finally, the patties were just OK, much less flavorful than they used to be, say, a year ago. For almost $20 per person ($78 for 4) for fast food, I would expect to be treated better. At Shake Shack they make you feel like you matter. I'll be going there instead.

They had the food sitting on a counter without telling me and when I asked for refund because the fries were soggy and the burger was cold I wasn’t given one. Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
