- JSJade Sinacori4 days ago1.0The atmosphere felt more like a trashy dive bar than a clean, family-friendly establishment. I went for dinner yesterday with my family and young nephews (age 2 and 3). A customer was loudly cursing, using "FU**" in every other word, for an extended period of time as he engaged in conversation with the counter staff. It appeared that the staff member was familiar with and comfortable with this customer. It was disappointing that no one from the staff addressed the customer's behavior or asked him to be mindful of the other diners. Given the volume and language being used, I would have expected a staff member to recognize that this was a family-oriented environment and that such behavior was inappropriate, especially with young children present. My family and I felt uncomfortable and hurried to finish our food. Rather than risk a confrontation, we decided to leave immediately. We were extremely disappointed with the experience. I hope management will take situations like this more seriously in the future and ensure that all customers can enjoy their meals in a clean, welcoming, and family-friendly environment.

A member of our party ordered online, so when we walked in we helped ourselves to peanuts in their shells from a big barrel of peanuts! That was fun. When you order a burger, there are unlimited toppings which I thought was amazing! When you order fries the portion is huge. For fast food restaurant this is the best I have ever eaten in.

The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.

Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
