  The store itself is ok. Slightly on the expensive side, but with the lack of American-style supermarkets in the area I guess they can do it (supply and demand). The issue I had is the self-checkout line. First the machines didn’t work as well as when used them in the past. The errors were annoying. Like other reviewers have mentioned I did encounter staff member who was annoyed and a little rude about her having to come and help. Then checking my bag (without my consent) and recording to see which products I put in. It felt a bit humiliating. In the end she did help, but acted like she was doing me a favor. If you are going to go there, it's better to wait on line. Overall, it's an ok store. Slightly expensive. Nice variety. Just that experience alone caused me to lower the rating to 2. Otherwise it would have been about a 3 or 4. Judging from other comments, it was not an isolated case. Most staff members are good, but that one just ruined the whole experience.

  My initial experience shopping at Stop & Shop today was quite pleasant. I found the prices to be reasonable and the customer service to be commendable. I anticipate returning for future shopping needs.

  Do not go to this pharmacy unless you want to die from taking the wrong medications. The pharmacist tried to replace a medication with something that was completely different and inaccurate from what was prescribed. If you come here for prescriptions take your medications to the doctor and make sure they are the correct prescriptions before you even touch them!! The pharmacist then apologized saying she did not know what my medication was treating and thought it was the same thing. You are not supposed to try and replace medications with other medications not prescribed by a doctor. You should lose your license. I am planning on reporting this officially to the state!! Can you imagine if I did not know and it was my first time being treated!! I would have ended up with major complications and in an emergency room. There should be ramifications for your error!! Never replace a doctors prescription with something you think is the same!!! Can you imagine the seniors who have trouble knowing the difference.
