  Not impressed... longtime temakase and Kazunori hand roll fan and honestly the rolls were half empty, I wish I took pics. Also so much mayo for the spicy option, it felt like I was getting skimped and this is never the case at the east village location and kazunori locations.

  I'm a longtime fan and frequent customer of Temakase, so I'm sharing this review hoping it helps them improve — because I genuinely want to see them succeed. I placed a catering order a full month in advance for an April 4th party: a nigiri platter and a Rolling High platter. The ordering process was far more complicated than expected, with invoicing issues and a lot of back-and-forth. I also had a gluten-free requirement that I tried to confirm by both email and phone in the days before pickup — with no response, which was stressful. My partner and I visited the Williamsburg location in person at 1pm on the day of pickup. The team there had no record of the catering order, but they confirmed it would be ready by 3pm. I later received a call about a mix-up with the tuna nigiri — the gentleman I spoke with was warm and offered a thoughtful substitute (spicy crispy rice), which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the pickup stretched nearly two hours past the confirmed time, with my partner not leaving until close to 5pm despite multiple assurances it was almost ready. When we got home, we also found the nigiri platter included only torched salmon — no regular salmon as expected. The staff were genuinely lovely throughout, and the food itself was a hit with our guests. When I shared this feedback directly, they acknowledged the issues and kindly offered to host my partner and me for a complimentary dinner — which we really appreciated. We emailed on a Friday night expressing interest, and they replied quickly asking what time worked. We suggested 7:30pm… and never heard back. We've followed up since then with no response. After being such enthusiastic regulars, that silence has unfortunately left a sour taste. I hope they're able to tighten up both their catering process and their follow-through.

  Wonderful hand rolls. My wife and I stopped by for an impromptu date night and had a lovely time. All of our bites were delicious and the service was warm and friendly. We had just returned from Japan and we were not disappointed. We loved the crispy rice and all of the hand rolls we ordered.

  Fantastic individuals! Very kind and sweet service with amazing food! We’ve also managed to forget our bag and we were able to get the next day without any issues! Love the kindness and the atmosphere there. Must go to place❤️

  I really loved this place! It just opened up in my neighborhood not that long ago and I was on the fence about trying it but I am so glad I went and can't wait to go back. There are SO many gluten free options. My friend and I sat at the bar and the service was so lovely and made sitting at the bar so enjoyable! I normally find it not as nice as a table but we loved it so much. We got lots of rolls and crispy rice. Everything was amazing.
