Absolutely butchered my order after waiting 15 min for my food to come out. No apologies just told me they’ll make the order again. Absolutely ridiculous for subpar Mexican food

Not bad overall, but I doubt I’ll come back. Tacos are nice, the meat and fish was cooked good, but these weren’t the best tacos I’ve tried.
It was a Friday evening, so it was very noisy as there were a lot of people

I had a very disappointing experience at Tacombi Fort Greene and would not recommend it based on my visit.
The food was not enjoyable, and I found it to be far below my expectations. During my meal, I was alarmed to find what appeared to be a small piece of glass in my food, which raised serious concerns about food safety.
I was also concerned about cleanliness. I observed rodents in the patio area and saw what I believed were rats coming from areas near the basement, which made me uncomfortable about how the restaurant is maintained.
When I brought my concerns to management, I felt that my complaint was not handled professionally or respectfully. Instead of addressing the situation in a satisfactory way, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed.
The restaurant seems to be going for a vintage look, but in my opinion the old tables and chairs came across as worn out rather than charming.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had, and I will not be returning.

Very disappointing lunch experience at Tacombi on 25 Lafayette in Brooklyn NY.
I ordered a fish taco with a side of rice and beans. The first water cup they gave me had a lipstick mark on it. I asked for a clean one, but it appeared they brought back the same cup after simply wiping it off.
My fish taco arrived, but my rice and beans never did. I also asked for a fork and never received one. After waiting a long time, I ended up eating my taco while everything else was forgotten.
When I went to pay, a server finally showed up with the rice and beans, but by then I had already finished my meal. They removed it from the bill, which I appreciated, but that’s not really the point.
I understand it was a busy Sunday, but “every customer deserves attention”, even when dining alone. Between the dirty cup and the poor service, it was a frustrating experience, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

I never write bad reviews but this specific situation was so bizarre. Imagine this: it’s the first game of the finals. The city is electric, every bar around showing the game is SLAMMED - so when we see that this tacombi has pulled out a projector for the game and have space for our group we were very excited. We spent the entire game there eating and drinking and enjoying (with many others in the restaurant doing the same). All was well until **with no warning**
THREE MINUTES left in the 4th quarter, game is TIED- they suddenly turn the sound off and the lights on and tell us they need to close…. ???
I have worked in service industry for 10+ years I have so much empathy for places that are trying to close but people are lingering - and absolutely would respect that in any normal situation. But if you made a point to put out a projector specifically FOR this game (assumingely because you recognize this is a big deal for the city and community) it seems absolutely absurd to shut it off without warning in that manner.
Tacombi offers authentic Mexican cuisine, including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and more, inspired by Yucatán flavors.
