  We enjoy this place more and more every time we come! Every single dish is delicious, and the service is exceptional. If you’re looking for amazing food and a place where you can genuinely enjoy, this is it. We recently celebrated a family party here with a group of 18 guests, and the experience could not have been better. We were welcomed with such genuine hospitality, and the owner went above and beyond to accommodate our group and make the evening feel special. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is something you wont find anywhere else. I can’t recommend this place enough!

  super nice and, coming from a restaurant worker, we were not easy guests (asked to sit outside, didnt know what we wanted, not everyone ordered food, etc). definitely recommend for the atmosphere and service. tacos were fantastic. thanks!

  Surfish Bistro is one of those places we had been meaning to try forever, and now I am wondering why we waited so long. It is a little off the beaten path from the main parts of Gowanus and Park Slope, but trust me, it is worth making the trip. The lomo saltado was delicious and definitely delivered, but the lamb shank completely stole the show for me. It was rich, tender, and easily my favorite dish of the night. The cocktails were another highlight. You really cannot go wrong with a pisco sour here. It was refreshing, well balanced, and the perfect pairing with the food. Between the food, cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere, Surfish Bistro feels like a place we should have discovered much sooner. We absolutely loved our dinner and cannot wait to come back and work our way through more of the menu. 🍹🐑

  This is one of our favorite Peruvian restaurants. Food is always delicious. Yesterday, I think they have a pretty off day. For starters they always give you some plantain and tortilla chips with a little sauce and pico while you decide what to eat. This is free which is cool, great. Thank you. However, yesterday they were stale. We had a party of 7 and both tins with the chips were stale. They prep these tins beforehand to help with quicker service I guess. However, with the humidity of the summer it’s not worth prepping beforehand if you’re going to serve customers stale chips. When I told the waiter, he shrugged his shoulders and said they’re all stale. Then don’t serve them! lol air conditioning was not great at all. We were all sweating. Waitress wasn’t very helpful. Seemed bothered that she had to keep coming to see if we were ready, water was warm, no ice provided. To top that off we ordered two orders of churros that took so long to come out that we left without eating it. Just took it home. We were so sweaty we just wanted to get to our air conditioned cars. Food was great as always but service and comfort and non stale chips matters too. I think we need a little break from Surfish. Oh winters are super cold. So looks like they have air/heating issues. But if you don’t mind stale chips, guess if it’s free then it doesn’t matter. Thanks but no thanks. Again, perhaps an off day for them. I sure hope so. It’s crazy hot out. So prep before going and enjoy.

  The food was delicious! The zapallitos appetizer was outstanding. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. The desserts were fantastic. A great experience.
