  the food was AMAZING! plus you really cannot beat a $22 pitcher of kirin. had the spicy tonkatsu and my gf had tantanmen ramen. both of the broths were exquisite and flavorful. it did take a minute for our order to be taken, hence the 4 stars. service aside this place is legit and 10/10 recommend.

  Walk-in only, put name on list Once seated service was very fast. Got a Shoyu ramen (vegetarian) but received a Shio (non vegetarian). Host replaced it with no problems and the correct one arrived relatively quickly. Make sure the order is correct as at busy times Shoyu could be confused for Shio. Ambiance: is good and can definitely chat with your friends at the table as the place is not loud or uncomfortable. Food: Good quality and ramen was nice and chewy just as I like it. Broth wasn't too salty but still very tasty, good balance. I would have tried the stir fried ramen (no broth) if the had a version with fried tofu instead of only one with pork... I'd suggest the owner to add that to the menu as it would be an easy-to-add vegetarian option. Price: Not overpriced. What is being charged for the ramen and appetizers is OK. Pitcher of beer is a bit steep at $25 for 60oz though you could almost serve 4 pints which isn't still too expensive at about $6.25 for a pint that is just one oz short 😉 Overall, recommended. you might not be very full but it's satisfying... in the end we paid $28.5/person including tip for 3 ramen and a pitcher of beer and with the ongoing prices you find in restaurants these days, I can't say this is cheap, but it's certainly among the more affordable and good places to go.

  So hey Brooklyn, it turns out we don’t have to travel to Jackson-Heights to get out of this world delicious momos anymore. First time here and I wanted something light. I ordered the beef momos ($10.50). Served in a bamboo steam basket, are 8 handmade, fresh momos. On the side a nothing short of INCREDIBLE momo sauce on the side. Tasted like roasted chili, sweet and mildly spicy. The sauce combined with the deeply seasoned and perfectly textured momo was phenomenal. I decided to add chili oil right into the sauce—very mildly spicy, so don’t worry, your face won’t melt here. Chef’s kiss. Absolutely perfect. I can’t wait to come hungry and try more items on the menu. Speedy service, attentive and kind staff, good lighting, a variety of smart seating, beyond fair and well priced, too. 10 out of 10. Grateful and thrilled to have stumbled into this Tibetan wonder without a single clue what I was getting into. THRILLED.

  🍜 Ramen Thukpa – Brooklyn Food Review I’ll be honest—I was really excited to try the Shio Ramen here. Shio is usually my go-to ramen whenever I visit a new ramen spot, so it’s one of the first things I look for when checking out a new place. I ordered the Shio Ramen and swapped the chashu chicken for chashu pork. The ramen comes with a salt-flavored bone broth, chashu, miso egg, menma (bamboo shoots), and scallions. Unfortunately, the ramen didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The broth had a noticeable peppery flavor, which was unexpected for a shio ramen. The color was also darker than the light, clear broth I’m accustomed to seeing with shio ramen. I’m not sure if the flavor or coloration had something to do with how the chashu was seasoned, but this was definitely a first for me. The noodles were also a little tougher than I would have preferred, and I felt the menma could have been cooked a bit longer as well. Neither was terrible, but the texture took away from the overall experience for me. That said, the Pork & Chives Gyoza was actually my favorite part of the meal. I enjoyed the flavor of the gyoza more than the ramen. I do think they could have been fried a little longer for a crispier exterior, but overall, they were flavorful and enjoyable. 🥟 Pork & Chives Gyoza: 8/10 🍜 Shio Ramen: 6/10 🧋 Thai Iced Tea: 7/10 The Thai iced tea was pretty standard—nothing that blew me away, but it was still good and refreshing with the meal. One thing I definitely want to highlight is the staff. Everyone was very attentive, kind, and genuinely caring throughout my visit. That kind of service goes a long way and definitely left me with a positive impression of the restaurant. Overall, the food wasn’t quite what I was hoping for, especially the shio ramen, but I still enjoyed parts of the meal and really appreciated the hospitality. I’d definitely come back in the future and try some of their other dishes. Sometimes one dish just doesn’t hit the way you expect, and I’d be interested in giving Ramen Thukpa another shot.

  This place is one of the few that I have a cpmplete mixed reviews on do unfortunately, I went for a two. Food: Delicious HOWEVER portions are beyond small. I ordered what should be a dinner size and it looked like an appetizer. Unfortunately, I was hungry and did not take a photo but there are others costumers that took photos and posted here as well. I ordered the udon noddles with veggies, they call it something else but that is what I know them as. Basically very fat long noddles and it comes with a lot of mix veggies. THE VEGGIES were almost raw. I would make sure to ask them to please cook it enough, if you are seeing this and want to give it a go. MISO soup had no pieces of tofu or seaweed. It was a very good and medium heavy in texture. It was also flavorful but again, just not what you know a miso soup to be ( clear, tofy and seaweed pieces). PAN FRIED DUMPLINGS, my son was okay with them mostly due to there being no dumpling sauce, just plain soy sauce that is placed on the table. That aspect was a turn off for both of us. Service: Over all, okay. They were kind towards kids and I do appreciate that. My son liked them. Atmosphere: Place has warm feeling to it. Over all: Over all not a bad experience but not a great one either. Would I go back? Probably not.
