I had a very concerning experience at this location. On July 8, 2026, I ordered one chicken bowl and one bottled Vitaminwater and was charged $48.56.
I immediately questioned the price and asked the cashier for an itemized receipt showing what I had been charged for. I was told that they do not provide itemized receipts. When I continued questioning why my order cost $48.56, the cashier told me that this was “the most expensive restaurant on the block.” That still did not explain the charge.
After leaving, I recreated a comparable order through QDOBA’s own online ordering system. The chicken bowl was $11.25. Vitaminwater was not available online, so I selected the most expensive bottled drink option available to me for comparison. The entire order came to $15.90 after tax, compared with the $48.56 I was charged in the restaurant.
I have photographs of the food and drink I received, my receipt showing the $48.56 charge, and a screenshot of the comparable online order. I have contacted QDOBA corporate and also submitted the matter to Channel 7’s 7 On Your Side consumer team because I want the transaction investigated and I do not want another customer to have a similar experience.
I am not making assumptions about exactly how this happened. I am asking a simple question: What items and charges were entered into the register that resulted in a $48.56 total for one bowl and one bottled drink? I asked for that information at the restaurant and was not given it.
Customers should check their totals carefully and ask questions if something does not look right. I will update this review if QDOBA provides an itemized transaction record and resolves the issue.
UPDATE: 7/20/2026 - I will return 😋
I wanted to update my original review because QDOBA made things right.
On July 8, 2026, I visited this location and ordered one chicken bowl and one bottled Vitaminwater. I was incorrectly charged $48.56 due to what turned out to be a point-of-sale error. At the time, I questioned the amount and requested an itemized receipt, but I was not provided one, which understandably left me concerned.
After I contacted management, they responded very quickly. They investigated the transaction, provided me with an itemized receipt, and explained that an employee had accidentally selected a delivery charge instead of the correct dine-in/take-out option, resulting in an unintended $30 overcharge.
Most importantly, they accepted responsibility, apologized for the mistake, and issued a full refund of the entire $48.56, which was credited back to my account on July 14, 2026. They also invited me to return for a complimentary bowl as a goodwill gesture.
While I was disappointed by the original experience, I appreciate that management took my concerns seriously, investigated the issue promptly, corrected the mistake, and implemented additional training to help prevent this from happening again.
Mistakes can happen in any business. What matters is how a company responds, and in this case, I believe management handled the situation professionally. I hope they continue providing itemized receipts whenever customers request them and remain diligent in preventing similar errors in the future.

Updating my review because I was genuinely surprised by how Qdoba handled my feedback. My original concern was simply about the lettuce quality, and I hoped it would be addressed.
What really stood out to me was that they actually took the time to reach out and respond. In a world where many companies ignore customer feedback, I appreciated that they listened and cared enough to follow up.
I've always loved Qdoba and was going to keep coming back regardless. Their food is still one of my favorites, and their customer service left a great impression on me. Feeling grateful and appreciated as a customer.
Now please open a Qdoba in Astoria! 😊
