  I visited Dave & Buster's at the Gateway location a couple of months ago in the summer and had a fun time with my children. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back last weekend, but it was a completely different experience. There were so many people vaping, and the place smelled strongly of marijuana. With my children there, it felt like everyone was out of control and there was no order or supervision. We didn't feel comfortable staying, so we left. I don't know what changed, but this is not the family-friendly atmosphere I experienced before. Management needs to step in and enforce their policies. I won't be returning to the Gateway location!

  I’ve always enjoyed this branch of Dave & Buster’s and because of the great experiences have taken my dad have booked rooms for my kids birthday parties at one of the franchises, which makes this experience during late night happy hour particularly disappointing. The new staff were friendly, but the happy-hour pricing was very misleading. When specifically ordering $7 happy-hour wine, you’re offered options like Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and Prosecco without being told that certain selections fall OUTSIDE the promotion. You’re then presented with a non-itemized bill charging nearly double the advertised price. So beware. If a customer specifically requests happy-hour drinks, don’t offer full-priced alternatives without clearly disclosing the difference. That’s basic transparency. That is trust. Combined with noticeably smaller pours, which again I understand because businesses shift but what should have been an affordable outing became a nearly $110 bill. Not including tip. During HAPPY HOUR? I paid, tipped 20+% in cash, and left without arguing. It’s not about the money; it’s about the principle. This isn’t the Dave & Buster’s I knew. After years of positive experiences and recommending this establishment, it’s disappointing that unclear pricing practices have cost them a loyal customer. I’ve had far more positive experiences than negative ones, but sometimes one disappointing visit is enough to lose a returning customer. The pricing practices did it for me. I shouldn’t feel tricked when I mentally planned on returning and making the experience a regular one now NOT anymore. I didn’t even have it in me to make the case so I’m truly disappointed that this is being encouraged and just want others to be mindful.

  We took our son and his friends to celebrate his 13th birthday and spent over $400, only for the experience to be ruined by security accusing our son of stealing. Our son had already collected his gift from the gift room. When his friend went to collect his, our son followed to see what his friend received, as any normal child would. Security apparently didn’t notice the gift in his hand and began yelling at him, accusing him of stealing. Our son was so upset he nearly cried. When my husband and I intervened, security argued and yelled at us in front of our child instead of handling the situation professionally. We were simply explaining that there is a respectful way to approach a child, especially when there was an obvious misunderstanding. The manager was called, but instead of de-escalating the situation, his response was, “All I can tell you is I know my guy.” We were shocked by the lack of professionalism and customer service from both security and management. After spending so much money, we expected a much better experience, especially while celebrating our child’s birthday. Management needs to do a better job addressing staff behavior and resolving customer concerns. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

  Food wasn’t good but I ain’t go there for that lol our serve was awesome, the place was clean and games were fun. Only issue for me personally are the high chairs aren’t table height. So it’s good to keep your baby in place but they can’t eat on the table. Very But I would definitely go again

  Management here is absolutely horrible! Starting with Robert! Who refuse to serve alcohol drink to my sister after she presented her id. He actually refused to looked at the id and said he wanted us to leave, he then instructed security to escort us out. After not leaving he then began to antagonize us and stand directly behind us.
