  This is the worst store I've ever been to!!! The products are terrible and expired. I tried to return an item, but they refused to give me a refund. The manager grabbed me by the shoulders and shook me, telling me to pick something else for the same price. Four of them were shouting that I was lying and that they wouldn't return the money.

  I am deeply upset and extremely disappointed with this store. I will never come back here again, even though it is the closest supermarket to my house. They have officially lost a loyal customer. Today, I tried to return imitation crab meat and two tilapia fish that were completely spoiled and smelled strongly of soap, chemicals, and laundry detergent. To make matters worse, the plastic packaging tray holding the crab meat was filthy, with visible brown dirt all around the edges. I literally showed this dirt to them, but they completely ignored it and said nothing. Instead of handling the issue professionally, the staff was incredibly hostile. The cashier was speaking to me in a very loud tone, practically yelling, and didn't give me a single chance to explain the situation. She openly humiliated and defamed me in front of other customers, loudly shouting: "I don't believe you, you are lying, you are a cheat!" The manager was also extremely rude to me and completely refused to listen to a single word I had to say. They flatly refused to issue a refund and forced me to exchange the ruined products for something else. I had to buy eggs that I didn’t even need—since I had just bought two huge cartons from this very store yesterday—just to not lose my money. This is a direct violation of consumer rights. Furthermore, this is not the first awful experience I’ve had here. I am of Asian descent, and yesterday, on July 4th, around 2:00 PM, two young male employees who were stocking shelves in the dairy and egg section openly mocked me. As I walked past, they started mimicking and mocking the Chinese language, laughing at me. When I turned around and we made direct eye contact, they didn't even care—they just kept talking, mimicking the Chinese language, and mocking me right to my face while looking me up and down with an incredibly judgmental glare. It was during that exact same visit yesterday that I bought those two large cartons of eggs. It made me feel incredibly hurt, insulted, and completely ruined my mood. Between selling toxic, chemical-smelling food, using filthy packaging, public verbal abuse from the cashier, the total lack of professionalism from the manager, the illegal refund policy, and the disgusting, discriminatory behavior from the staff, I highly recommend everyone avoid this place. I am also filing official complaints with NYC 311 and the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets.

  Store Manager Luis is outstanding! He's very receptive to customers sharing new products or requesting items that weren't previously on their shelves. Upon request, Luis orders & makes space for said items. Of all the C-Towns that I've ever shopped at, this is the best of the lot! The current and future variety of selections has been (and/or shall be) beyond amazing, particularly if one knows what the supermarket was like 15-20 years ago!

  This C-town has a large variety of there spanish products.i have been a customer for 15 years at this specific location. I Have not had a problem with them. However within the last 2 years there customer service is horrible. The cashiers are not very friendly and do not acknowledge the presence of their customers. They act very rudely and ratchet. You dont need to be friends with the customer, but you do represent the company!!! They gossip amongst themselve and talk so loudly so everybody could hear therir conversation. Nobody wants to know their business. These girls need alot of retraining!!! Very unprofessional, lack of ethics. Don't even greet customers and cant even give you your total!! Very rude!! There are like 2 older workers those 2 are the only wants that have more common sense and actually interact with the customer. But the young onces from the evening and weekends need retraining or change of staff.
