DO NOT EAT HERE! I wish I could give this place 0 stars! I ordered the family deal , Egusi and ginger juice. The food is nasty, undercooked and flavorless! First thing- The family deal states that it feeds a family of 4 (which is a complete lie because it feeds 1 person!) and comes with all of these things. My order was missing the jollof rice, suya, puff puff, and the 2 sides of spinach! Second thing- They lied and said that the fish is Tilapia fish but it is NOT!!! The fish that they used is cheap and nasty Swai fish. It has a completely different taste from Tilapia fish as it is fishy tasting with a really soft soft texture. The “Tilapia ” was disgusting! It was flavorless and barely cooked. Third thing- The Egusi was the worst that I ever had in my life! It did not even taste like egusi! There was no maggi, crayfish, or flavors added and it was drenched in palm oil. They also did not cook the Egusi all the way through and it had huge huge chunks in it. Fourth thing- The sauce or “stew” that they put on this fish was also terrible as well! I completely wasted $70 on this restaurant! I would NOT recommend ever buying anything from this restaurant. They lied about the portion size and what came with the meal and the food is gross! I don’t know how this restaurant is in operation. I’m not even sure if the people who made this food is Nigerian because none of this food tasted right! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! You’ve been warned!!!! BTW - I threw everything in the trash! Disgusting 🤮

I asked for a Lamb over Uber Eats and it’s how it looked like.

I came here for lunch and the man was so nice. The store had a nice cozy vibe and felt very authentic. The man greeting me with a warm smile and was so polite. I had ordered the egusi soup with goat and fufu . It wasn’t a long wait time either. I was in and out. It was phenomenal. The meat tender and the soup sent my tastebuds to another world. The fufu was soft and easy to swallow. I was upset when I had finished my food. 5/5. I will be coming here more often

What a wonderful introduction to Nigerian cuisine. Our family went for a birthday celebration. We shared such a beautiful experience. Food, drink, service and hospitality. Thank you for making the celebration so very special for us.

I’m actually a long time customer of BUKA but I think I’ve had enough. It’s like I have amnesia and continue ordering from them just to be disappointed every time. The egusi is so hit or miss. Today was a miss. Was more red stew and oil than it was egusi. But what really annoyed me today was the chicken they gave me with my jollof chicken combo. Fully burnt chicken. I’ve sent them the photos and they claim that it’s exactly how they intended so I want to post it here so they can stand on what they said. This is their “grilled chicken” guys. They said the burnt parts are seasoning, when I took a bite it just tasted like charcoal. In the photo I peeled back some of the skin so it’s not even as bad as it looked when it first arrived. They have promised to send me a replacement if I ever order again but tbh I don’t think I’ll be back. I’m done with them. They’ve also done this in the past when they sent me burnt plantain and claimed that it’s how it’s supposed to be as if I don’t know how plantain should be cooked. Also they need to remove Chapman from their menu. I’ve ordered it multiple times in the past and each time they would replace it with malt (a cheaper drink) instead of calling me or refunding me. Also the man on the phone needs manners. He fully burped in my ear. How rude and disgusting when on call with a customer Edit: So BUKA has responded to my review calling me a liar. On the phone he told me the chicken was supposed to be like this and that it was not a mistake. Regarding my points I literally already said in my review that you promised to send me a replacement but that I am choosing not to shop with you again. Go worry about your horrible ratings instead of calling me a liar when this is clearly a track record for you. You have no response to any other part of my review either because you know you have nothing to say. Shop here at your own risk
