I want to talk about Gateway Centers 632 Gateway Dr, Brooklyn, NY 11239 location. I went there 2 times, ordered 2 times and 2 family members ordered 2 times each so we gave a fair shot. I recorded the store on my last time going. Very bad customer service. My first order on 4/18/26 was missing the Mac and Cheese and the boneless wings was overcooked. Both times my family ordered the chicken was overcooked, rock hard. The first time I went in person was 4/26/26, was early morning, maybe 10am or 11am so it was empty. I walk through the door, there's a young female at one of the guest tables in the front, 1 foot up, texting on her phone, no other staff at the front, and not at or behind the front desk/greeting area. She sees me, looks up for a second, goes right back to her Cellphone, there's no other customers in any waiting area. I look to the right and notice that the pick up area is a seperate area, ok cool, SHE could have contacted me and told me that but no problem. I go out the store and go into the pick up area, there's 2 doors, same building and connected.
I wait in the pick up area, didn't see any other staff. Another customer comes in while I'm waiting in the pick up area, she looks over, doesn't move AT ALL, still texting on her phone. The 2nd customer goes to her directly and then she gets up, comes over to the pick up, gives him HIS FIRST after she saw me waiting for about 8 mins and not moving, then ask me. Ok strike 2 BWW for me personally. This same thing happened again but worse on 4/29/26. I go in, around 9:30pm, same deal, accept now, it's 2 staff. There's a guy who clearly works there with his back to the doors, watching the Sports game, just swinging his arms, not greeting guest, laughing and king, doing, nothing, he did this for 10 mins+. Another staff, this time she is at the greeting area, doesn't greet anyone and walks is texting, walking around, someitmes sitting and texting while the pick up and to go order area is filling up with guest. I recorded most of it. What is up with the being on the phone while working and not working here? It took about 15 mins till she went to the back room, told another employee it seems and then THAT employee came out and greeted the 5 of us waiting. It was just me at first.
The staff that came from the back room said "Sorry for the wait, anyone here for pick up?" This is normal customer service despite the fact the wait made no sense as there is staff there and they're not doing their job. The texting female and guy have no awareness, no care, just lounging around. So this is my experience with Gateway BWW, trash. I think 3 orders and 2 visits and getting multiple order mistakes and bad customers service is more than enough to never go again. And if you think I'm lying, I got the recordings.
