Our take on the classic slice that raised us. Fresh tomato sauce, aged mozzarella, torn basil, Sicilian oregano, and a dusting of sharp Romano. No gimmicks—just New York soul, DOP precision.
DOP Margherita
No one does it like DOP. Our original upside-down Margherita is the blueprint: house blend aged mozzarella, fior di latte, and fresh mozzarella, with our bright tomato sauce layered on last to shield the cheese and caramelize under electric heat. Finished with basil, Pantelleria oregano, and extra virgin olive oil. This isn’t just a pie—it’s our mission statement.
Where would we be without Nonna? Aged mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, garlic confit tomato sauce, basil, and 24-month Parmigiano Reggiano—all baked on a crisp, golden grandma-style crust. Old-school roots, Brooklyn-raised.
Creamy, smoky, bright. Smoked mozzarella, fior di latte, whipped ricotta, Parmigiano Reggiano, and a kiss of lemon zest. No sauce, no rules—just pure white heat.
Built on our signature DOP Margherita, this pie brings the heat with roasted mushrooms, sweet shallots, and punchy Calabrian peppers. Clean burn, rich umami, all gas no brakes.
An ode to Lucy’s Sausage truck from the old-school Italian feasts. Smoked mozzarella, fior di latte, Faicco’s sausage, marinated shallots, house-roasted peppers, and Calabrian chili. Smoky, savory, zesty—this one sings like Sunday in the street.
Brooklyn DOP’s first specialty pie—an ode to the two Vitos, fathers of Tommy and Jason, who showed us how to keep it bold and honest. Built on our Nonna Mena base, layered with Faicco’s sausage and marinated shallots. Classic roots, Brooklyn soul.
A nod to Pepe in Grani. “Sbagliata” means mistaken—but this one’s all intention. Fresh tomato sauce, fior di latte, and housemade pesto blotted with purpose. Messy on top, masterful underneath.

Pizza was amazing and everyone there was great! We watched the Knicks win the championship in the back patio, and they passed around free champagne to toast to the win. It was such a cool moment and the staff made it even better. Literally an unforgettable moment!

Excellent pizza, many varieties. The white pizza had a beautiful thin, crunchy crust while the grandma is the best I've ever had , both delicious flavors. Calzones are fantastic. It was a great atmosphere to sit in the back patio area, very comfortable. Will definitely be back, well worth the trip from Long Island.

This was easily my favorite slice of the day. The pepperoni slice was absolutely spot on—perfectly crispy crust, zero flop, and a great bite. It had just that little bit of grease you want and expect from good pepperoni. The atmosphere inside was great too, especially the nice, long copper bar along the back wall for dining. I would highly recommend this place, no doubt about it.

I had heard good things about their Detroit-style pizza, and after trying it, I can see why people recommend it. The place has a laid-back neighborhood feel, but the food clearly gets a lot of attention.
I ordered one of their square pizzas along with a side to share. The crust was the first thing that stood out — thick, airy, and crispy around the edges without feeling heavy. The cheese caramelized along the sides in that way Detroit-style pizza should, and it added a lot of flavor. The sauce was rich without overpowering everything, and the toppings were balanced well. Every bite felt fresh and well made.
The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. I asked about popular options, and they gave recommendations that actually helped narrow things down. Service moved quickly even with a steady crowd, and the food came out hot. That made the whole visit feel smooth and easy.
The restaurant itself had a casual atmosphere that worked well. It wasn’t overly fancy, but it felt comfortable and clean. There were people dining in, picking up takeout, and it seemed like a place locals genuinely come back to often. That gave it a strong neighborhood vibe, which I always like in Brooklyn.
What stood out most was the consistency. Good food, quick service, and a relaxed space all came together. It’s not trying too hard — it just focuses on making quality pizza.
If you’re in Brooklyn, NY and want to try a good Detroit-style pizza spot, Brooklyn DOP is definitely worth checking out. I’d happily go back to try more of the menu next time I’m in the area.
