  This restaurant is a disaster. Went there for my daughter’s graduation dinner. Servers were very nice but the restaurant service was not prepared. Had a wait to get drinks, wait for food service. Bugs were found in one of our drinks, the wine was served hot had to put the bottle on ice (our idea). Then they ran out of rice the main side for their entrees . The manager was not available or disappeared and left the waitresses who were also bartenders to manage it. We want a refund. Cleanliness of this restaurant is also questionable. It was definitely not worth $777 for 7 people.

  Really nice and cozy spot with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy a slow meal. We started with the mezze, and the dips were definitely the highlight — especially the labneh and hummus, which were both fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The chickpea salad and beet salad were decent, but they didn’t stand out as much compared to the other dishes. On the other hand, the lamb sausage was excellent and easily one of the best things we ordered. It had a great balance of seasoning with just the right amount of spice and a lot of flavor in every bite. The food overall felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the cozy setting added a lot to the experience. Definitely a place worth revisiting to try more items from the menu.

  Couldn’t say enough good things about Black Iris. The food speaks for itself - but the people truly make this restaurant a one-of-a-kind spot in the neighborhood. We are always bringing friends and loved ones here - and treated like family when we do so! Make sure to get the Mezze Plate and Lamb/Hummus!

  Good food! Had the chicken gyro (3.5/5) which tastes good and had lots of chicken. Hummus (4/5) with the flat bread was also delicious as well. The chicken souvlaki (4/5) was my fav - nice large chunks of ulxube chicken that wasn't too dry.
