7th Ave Diner is the perfect no frills neighborhood diner for when you just want a meal and do not want to overthink it. The food is good, the service is quick, and the prices are reasonable. Nothing here is trying to reinvent the diner experience, and honestly, that is exactly why it works. You know what you are getting and you know you are going to leave satisfied. This is the kind of place you can walk into without a plan, order whatever you are craving, and get exactly what you came for. No surprises, no unnecessary fuss, just a solid meal at a fair price. Sometimes that is all you need. 🥞🙂

This is my second time here and it totally ruined the good impression they left the first time I went. French toast came without syrup, fish & chips came without tartar sauce, got the wrong soup. Cockroaches in the restroom. What’s most unacceptable was the way the old white lady with short hair at the front treated us. We were trying to get a donut to go. She asked if we want to put the donut on the check, I told her that we already paid. As she led me towards the tall counter, I tried to hand her cash over then she turned around and went the other way saying “you need to pay for this” while holding our donut as if we were walking out. Then she asked the waitress who served us RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR FACES if we had paid for the check as if we lied to her earlier! Maybe we just don’t fit in the demographics she adores, maybe since we’re Asian she assumed that we’re tourists and naturally condescends. Or maybe that’s just her, but based on her attitude towards other customers I think she’s only doing that to us. Maybe hospitality industry isn’t for you if you’re not comfortable being hospitable to every paying customer.

Have to shoutout a negative: weird burger flavor. Got cheeseburgers last week. I had noted different flavor maybe a month ago. This time, GF noticed it too! Was this hamburger meat? Frozen? Exotic spicing being used? I know this… neither of us finished our burgers. (Food was delivered, daytime). This is one item management should want to examine, IMO.

What if a donut place served disgustingly dry donuts made the day before? What if they used one milliliter of scrambled egg to coat a piece of wonder bread, microwaved it, and called it French toast? Head over to find out!!!

I'm a diner guy who loves diners. I come here all the time usually at night and the people here are always fun. The staff is friendly. It's cash only. I wish the food staples were a little better. The sandwiches are tasty, but the burgers are B- at best. The soups are just ok. I would come here so much more often if they just improved those two items. The rest of the menu is hit or miss. Turkey and gravy = v good. Fried chicken is ho hum. Skip the pasta. The salads are decent. With the pies. Cherry is the best bet. The lemon pie has sugar crust that is so sweet it hurts your teeth. Apple has been hit or miss. The donuts are a good hook, but the donuts and always fun to pick up on the way out, but the donuts are just ok. Here too they could make this place have lines out the door if they just picked up their game a bit.
