  Usually I avoid Acme because there’s other local stores that sell higher quality food. However, I went there to rent a carpet and upholstery cleaner. I waited at the customer service desk for 15 minutes before anyone came to help me. They were clearly understaffed, I spoke to two cashiers and made eye contact with a third, but none could be bothered to either step away from their check out line or call for assistance. Eventually one of them finally called another employee to the front to help. When I got the rental cleaner home, the carpet vacuum worked, but the upholstery attachment did not. I called the Rug Doctor help line, but they couldn’t resolve the problem either. When I took the rental back the next day, I explained the problem to the Acme staff and they could not have cared less about the malfunction of their rental equipment. There is no way to rent the upholstery cleaner attachment without renting the entire carpet vacuum so I wanted to see if I could get credited for the non-working equipment, since I’d have to re-rent the carpet cleaner again, which I didn’t need, just to get the upholstery cleaned. All I got was blank stares from the two employees working customer service that day. One insisted that the equipment I rented was new, which it clearly was not, refurbished and newly swapped out by Rug Doctor, perhaps, but not new. I ended up going to a local hardware store and renting a carpet and upholstery cleaner made by another brand. It worked perfectly.

  I wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible pickup team at Acme. I place online grocery orders regularly and rely on the team to do the shopping for me, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the service they provide. Every single time I arrive for pickup, I am greeted with kindness, professionalism, and a genuine smile. The team members are always friendly, helpful, and responsive, and they consistently make the entire process so easy and stress free. It is clear that they take pride in what they do and truly care about their customers. I greatly appreciate the time and care they put into shopping my orders and bringing everything out to my car. Their positive attitudes and outstanding customer service keep me coming back again and again. Thank you to the entire Acme pickup team for all of your hard work. You are appreciated more than you know, and you make a busy life so much easier. Keep up the amazing work!

  This market is excellent; the only real downside is the staff. Many of the employees are simply not fit for the job. While there are many who are genuinely very courteous, there are others who are not; if you need assistance, they fail to provide proper attention. For those of us who work in delivery—and who spend hundreds of thousands of dollars here—the treatment we receive is abysmal. The deli counter staff is extremely slow and wastes customers' time. The people who prepare online orders are also very slow, and when you approach them with a question, they treat you poorly—everyone just seems bitter.
