  I Placed an order for delivery today and was so excited to get my meals. I haven't had Melanie's in years and I won't be ordering again. I ordered the chicken fried rice, Immediately I could tell the rice was old and the chicken was as well. It appeared refried and was a little on the dry side. I also ordered a chicken curry with roti and that was even worse. It looked like it had been a mix of several different batches of old curry chicken piled together as the color was extremely dark and diIdn't look fresh at all, it was extremely thick and tasteless and there was only one medium size potato and both meals were cold. I waited over and hour and the food was just awful. An instant regret from the first bite. The food here used to be amazing here back in the day, I am so disappointed.

  The cream sodas are never cold, even though they are kept in the freezer, so you always have to ask for a cup of ice. The jerk chicken fried rice is always my go-to because it is consistently good and hard to go wrong with. The regular chicken, however, is not my favorite. The lo mein is also a good choice.

  Ordered Channa, roti, potato ball, despite they gave me an extra Channa one was spoiled and was smelling somewhat off than the other. I didn't appreciate that I ordered from this place many times with door dash and they do that. If you're going to put the good with the bad and expect some gullible dummy get sick because of some likes, you gotta have better tactics than to think that if its bar where a drunk can't tell the difference that's bad business. You are sending to peoples residence that are sober and can pick up that. I'm afraid as much as I didn't want to put a bad review this one here push me to the point. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that this was some kind of mistake but now questions arise the sanitary measures being taken in favor of any future orders .   The only reason why this place is still open is because its the only one in the area! I'd spend my time and $ to drive into Queens. Food is horrible; over cooked chicken, oily rice. Hard as rock roti. The food is over priced, which wouldn't be a problem if it was quality food. Not to mention you order ahead and always always have to wait 20 minutes plus.

  My cousin went here to buy food 2 weeks ago , the owner wife didn’t put no spoon or utensils, when my cousin call her and told her there is no utensils, she having an attitude saying it’s state law they can’t give spoons !
