  When you go to paris you see the eifel tower. When you go to egypt you see the pyramids. When you go to the himalayas you climb everest. When you go to blue mountain lake you get a chicken fried steak for breakfast at Chef Darrell's.

  Did not sit and eat but picked up food to go. Chef Darrell was sitting outside and met him. What a pleasant guy and as nice as could be! Good luck to him, food was great had a turkey club, generous amount of French fries, couldn't eat them all! Good salad and great carrot cake! Don't pass this place by, next time I'll come and sit to enjoy a meal!

  First time in my life I've had bad tasting mashed potatoes. To be fair, i didn't send my meal back, just left it uneaten. I had gotten a fried chicken mashed potato bowl that was the special. The potatoes were starchy and only partially cooked, they did not seem to have any cream or seasoning either. The gravy was gelatinous. The chicken was good. The restaurant was clean and service was good but the special was not.

  This place is amazing!! We are hiking the NTP trail and are staying at lake Durant campground for a night with a car, we ate an amazing dinner and breakfast here and Darrell is a hoot! He came out and chatted us up at dinner and was super nice. Also very very dog friendly! Porch outside and picnic benches. Highly recommended!

  I was there with my wife Sunday June 28th at 830 in the morning. After being in the woods for a few days we were looking forward to a nice cup of coffee and a good breakfast. We went there and ordered our food which came out surprisingly quick. Actually it was before we even got a cup of coffee. My bacon was certainly cooked the day before or came in a box. It was overcooked and crunchy. My over easy eggs were broken and my potatoes were cold. And I'm fairly certain that the pancakes were not made there. Just preheated and sprinkled with confectioner sugar. It was a huge letdown so we went to the gas station on the corner. Got a delicious breakfast sandwich and a nice hot cup of coffee and I would recommend you do the same!
