  If I could give zero stars I would. Service slow as a snail. Food was not good. Worst french fries. We asked for a table by the railing to sit by the views and they told us "NO" because we were a party of 3. Meanwhile, after they seated us , they sat 2 parties of 3 at the tables . we requested . We asked for a Mac and cheese side dish which they said was only for kids. Wr asked the manager if he would make an exception an the said yes however we never got the side dish. Cocktails we ordered came after our dinner and was placed on the table next to us instead of our table. And when we were done, they bus boy came to our table with sushi sauce and chopsticks.Again, brought to the wrong table.

  My girlfriend and I chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The evening started before we even got inside. There was a long line for valet service, and because a bus was blocking the exit, it took about 15 minutes just to get into the parking area. Thankfully, we arrived early enough because otherwise we would have missed our reservation. After finally getting inside, we waited another 15 minutes before being seated. Once seated, another 15 minutes passed without even receiving drinks. We ordered them right away, but they didn’t arrive until our appetizers came out, which was roughly 30 minutes later. One thing I would not recommend this restaurant for is a date night. The pacing of the meal felt completely rushed. I was still trying to finish my salad when our entrees were brought out. As for the food, the soup was okay but should have been served hotter. The ginger salad was overpriced for what was essentially lettuce, a few strands of cucumber, and dressing. The sushi was the highlight of the meal and was the best thing we ordered, although still expensive for the portion and quality. The entrees were disappointing. The fish tasted overly fishy, bland, and lacked flavor. The scallops were decent, but the risotto was cold. The truffle fries arrived piping hot, which would have been great if they had actually been crispy. Instead, they were soft and soggy. Dessert was probably the biggest letdown. Do NOT order the crème brûlée. The top was covered in oil, wasn’t properly brûléed, had no crisp caramelized shell to crack through, and was mostly liquid underneath. It was honestly one of the worst crème brûlées I’ve had. The French toast bites were okay, but by that point we were ready to leave. To make matters worse, when we asked to have our leftovers wrapped, the busboy returned with the food containers. As I was handing him plates to clear space on the table, he began placing our food containers on the floor. I was actively telling him there was room on the table, and I found that extremely rude and unprofessional. The one bright spot was our waitress. Despite the rushed timing of the meal, she was friendly and attentive. I’d rate her service a 9/10. Overall service was about a 7/10. The view is absolutely stunning and is easily the restaurant’s best feature. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the setting. We drove 45 minutes for this anniversary dinner and left highly disappointed. $300 on rushed food that wasn’t good 🫠 Food: 3/10 Service: 7/10 Waitress: 9/10 View: 10/10 Overall, the sushi was the best thing we had. I wouldn’t recommend much else on the menu.

  First of all , I’m from Farmingdale, it was my wife birthday , food was great , Andrew our server was AMAZING on point,not rushing new his stuff , that’s what you call Service , from host to the him and everyone to make our experience amazing thank you …. View is AMAZING

  Views - stunning! Service - waiter took drink & appetizer orders and disappeared for 40 mins. Had to flag him down to give entree orders. Came back once to check on us. I heard a waitress tell a customer they were running out of the spicy vodka and she didn’t feel like going downstairs to get more. The table next to us had to ask for the dessert menu twice in 20 mins. A table got an appetizer delivered by accident while they were paying their check. Worst service. Food - no flavor. Bang bang shrimp swimming in spicy mayo sauce. Lobster roll overcooked and chewy. Crab cake, served with a nice side of hair. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful place.

  Had an awesome experience at happy hour at Ocean in Bayville! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere is hard to beat with the waterfront views, and the service really made the meal. Matt and Diego were both incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. They were personable, professional, and helped make the whole experience even better. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. We’ll definitely be back, highly recommend asking for Matt or Diego if you get the chance!
