  I’ve been here twice. The first time the service wasn’t amazing (took a long time just to get any food) but I chalked it up to a busy night and came back with my parents and siblings to get a nice family night out. We arrived on time for our reservation and were told that our table was still occupied. The previous party had come 15 minutes late and yet the restaurant decided to give them an extra 15 minutes at our expense, making us wait. Then 15 minutes turned into 30 minutes, and the front desk explained that they didn’t want to ask them to wrap things up to avoid making them uncomfortable. Normally that’d be fine, but we were waiting there for more than 30 minutes with no end in sight. It was embarrassing, to be honest. I had hyped up the restaurant to my family only to be disappointed. We had plans afterwards but because of the restaurant’s poor management we lost a ton of time. We were lucky to get seating at a Thai restaurant nearby instead. Never coming back here. It seems that the service is consistently mediocre and yet they mandate gratuity. EDIT: Can't seem to respond to the owner's comment, but not sure where the confusion lies. I've been here twice and said so in my very first sentence. I left the second time, stayed the first, and that's why I "commented on other aspects of the dining experience." As far as the issue of lateness, it's ridiculous that we are charged a late fee and yet are expected to just sit around waiting with no compensation if we are on time and our table is unavailable for more than 30 minutes. The front desk was too timid to ask the previous guests at the table to wrap things up despite them coming in late and staying well past their 90 minutes. Not really much point in booking a reservation if our time is not going to be honored. I have no trouble waiting 5 or 10 minutes but 30+ minutes is just disrespectful to us.

  ★★★★★ Came to Prime No. 7 with a group of five for Korean BBQ and left approximately 40% beef by body weight. The food was fantastic. We started confidently, ordering spicy beef bulgogi, spicy top blade, shrimp, scallops, lamb, and basically anything that looked good. Several rounds later, our confidence had disappeared but our commitment to the grill had not. The spicy beef bulgogi was the standout—we reordered it despite having absolutely no business ordering more food. The hanger steak and other beef cuts were also excellent, and everything came out fresh and well-marinated. But the real MVP was Alan, our waiter. Alan somehow managed the delicate balance of keeping five increasingly overfed people supplied with meat without openly judging our decisions. He was attentive, funny, quick with refills and recommendations, and kept everything moving without ever making us feel rushed. At some point Alan stopped being our waiter and became our Korean BBQ coach, guiding us through a meal we were no longer physically qualified to complete. The atmosphere is lively, the selection is huge, and the AYCE setup is dangerous in the best possible way. Come hungry. Do not eat lunch beforehand. Do not fill up on rice. Trust Alan. 10/10 experience. Would absolutely return after an appropriate beef-recovery period.

  We came here as a group of 5 and unfortunately left very disappointed and confused by the experience. Our first waitress was very sweet, but when we asked about the all-you-can-eat option, we specifically asked whether the $50 was per person or for the entire table. We were clearly told it was $50 for the whole table, so we ordered smaller portions accordingly. The service also became very inconsistent. The waitress helping us cook the meat eventually left to take care of other tables, leaving our food unattended, and our chicken ended up burning even though we had asked for medium-well. Our sushi also took over an hour to arrive, so they removed it from the bill. Despite all of this, our final bill was $320 cash, which honestly made no sense based on what we had been told about the pricing. We were so caught off guard that we ended up paying it without really understanding how the total was calculated. The staff was not rude, and our first waitress was genuinely kind, but the lack of communication and the overall service made the experience very frustrating. I would definitely recommend confirming the pricing and exactly what you’re being charged for before ordering.

  I normally wouldn’t leave a review about an establishment unless I really had a reason to. Food was alright, I paid for the Premium AYCA but the premium cut (LA Galbi) for the most part i couldn’t even chew through. They messed up my order a few times, only bringing things out after I mentioned it twice probably to eat up the AYCE time. Now the good part, while eating some guy came up to us and asked us if he could take a photo, I said sure why not. He later brings out the photo in a frame saying that’s gonna be $20 without even asking us if we want the photo. Being that it was our anniversary I said whatever and paid the $20. After finishing up and leaving we realized we forgot the photo. We called back 5 mins after and were met with hostility on the phone when we simply asked if we could pick up the photo at a later time. After we just left a $50 tip despite the poor service. Next day, we come around to pick up the photo and the frame is broken. At this point I was done with this place and just threw it out. Would not recommend, the ambiance is nice but with all the poor service and the decent food. I won’t be returning.

  Food was not on par with what the ratings say. FOOD: We did the all you can eat and personally the ban chan was the only good thing they had. The non-marinated meat we ordered had a weird taste to it, we took our younger cousin and he immediately called it out and stopped eating it. The marinated meat was a little better but you can definitely tell it still wasn’t quality meat. The salmon sushi (nigiri style) had pinbones in it and my partner almost choked on one. T cut was poor. It resembled smoked salmon (no fat lines and poorly cut, looked like it was cut with a butchers knife) as compared to quality sushi from, say, omakase. Salmon had eel sauce on it which is not normal for nigiri either. Very disappointed and overpriced when we could get a better experience at COTE or any other KBBQ. It was AYCE but this was the first time we felt like not eating any more. SERVICE: Our server David was awesome, he was very attentive and personable. We ordered the garlic squid (which was also just OK) and they gave a super large portion, he called it out and communicated that it would be OK if there are leftovers because of the abnormal serving size. He handled our requests quick and checked in regularly. Five stars handsdown, comparing to any restaurant I’ve been to. ATMOSPHERE: Music was too loud in the restaurant. Plays loud EDM music and was too overstimulating. Interior decor and cleanliness is fine. OVERALL: The service was the only redeeming factor and I was disappointed that I could have went further out into Manhattan for a better meal and similar price point. The food looks good and reviews do too, but I personally will not be dining here again.
