  Came in before work on Sunday morning at 8am. There were so many boxes pallets of produce and product out on the floors. It was hard to shop. I made a comment and two employees in the produce department stood there and laughed at me. I went to get my hood coffee milk that I do enjoy and the two bottles that were left were dated June 7, today is June 14, this is very common here. I’m not sure what’s going on with the food supplies and chains I know they mass produce because people have to have everything right at their fingertips but it was hard to find even a brick of cheese. Everything comes prepackaged pre-cut, now I am still able to use a knife and slice cheese as I need it. They’re pushing out food that I’m accustomed to. I don’t appreciate the bad food the rotted fruits and vegetables that you find, you get them home and they rot almost immediately. My brother was a frozen food manager. He did overnights, those stores were pristine back then very sad what we look at today and I know the younger generation doesn’t care as long as they’ve got their phone in their hand and they can get in and out, very pathetic

  The store as a whole….no complaints. However on a recent visit I had a gift card to use. I was at self checkout. I was trying to use it and Stephanie came over and kept tapping the little sign saying I could not use it there. I had to go to the customer service line to pay for my order. That was fine except I had to cut off a line of people. What bothers me was her nasty attitude with me. I tried pointing out that I wasn’t trying to buy the gift card because the little sign she kept tapping doesn’t say you can’t use gift cards…it says you cannot activate them at self checkout. I’ve been going to Hannaford for well over 20 years…even worked there in 2001/2002 and I’ve never been given such an attitude. Work on your customer service skills Stephanie.
