Great service love this subways
Wow. What a confusing experience. Why do they not have a kids menu like every other Subway I've been to? Why was my kid's 6inch Italian herb literally the size of a hot dog bun (see pic, meat is salami for size reference)? Why did she need to cut all the sliced tomatoes in half before putting them on the sandwich? Why are veggie patties on the menu but we were told they don't exist anymore (usually they're out, but that's the answer we expect)? Why was the employee (who was incredibly slow, didn't come to the front for a few minutes, and who legit threw things away in the garbage slot multiple times without realizing... Something was definitely off) in such a foul mood? She legit accused my husband of trying to pull something when he was just paying with the app, which was being slow and difficult to process.
The one thing all three of us can agree is that we had an absolute crap experience at this Subway. The Subways in Albany all suck, and we know and accept it (the paper and app distribute coupons yet not a single location will accept any like they used to, and the prices these days are insane), which is why we rarely go, but never have we been treated like this at other Subways. Save your time and skip this Subway, they do not want your business; New Scotland is nearby if you still need a sandwich and Ragonese is closed.
What can I say, this is probably one of the best Subways I have gone to in Albany. Well managed. Staff is excellent and they make sure to make the sub I want the way I want it. Esp, Tuna with everything hits the spot. Very friendly and the subs taste fresh with all the veggies and toppings the same. Always pick one up for lunch and they have it ready on time, which is a big plus. Will keep coming.

I wouldn't give this place even one star if it were possible. Horrible customer service. My husband and I went there on Aug 4. We had a gift card with $10.00 on it. We wanted the two for $5 each, which you had to do on your phone in the Subway app. The gentleman behind the counter came out to show us how. When it came time to place the order, the gentleman took my phone and hit the button. Our gift card WAS NOT on the app and it charged my bank card, which brought my account negative as my deposit had not gone in as yet. That's a $30.00 charge for being negative. I was not about to do that... The gentleman did reverse the charge and we tried ordering again.... this time he messed with my phone again before I was done ordering, and I was charge again for $8.85. The gentleman went in and said he reversed that charge too.
Which brings me to today Aug 5. The first charge was credited to my account. The $8.85 was not. I called my bank to find out if it too was reversed. They told me no, it was not. So I called Subway. A female answered the phone. When I explained to her what had happened, she quickly cut me off, would not let me speak and told me there was nothing she could do about it. I asked for a manager and she said the owner, Darnell was not there. In the background I could hear the gentleman fro the day before say that I was never charged. This was total bull, I had brung up my bank app and showed him the day before that there was indeed a charge! This woman then proceeded to hang up on me! I called back and there was no answer. I called my bank and they assured me the charge was there and had not been reversed. I then blocked my number and called back. She answered the phone and I said "you are quite unprofessional to hang up on a customer!" She mutter something that I was rude to her.. no.. WHEN YOU TALK OVER SOMEONE AND DON'T LET THEM GET A WORD IN EDGEWISE, THAT'S RUDE... I asked her for the owners name and she said it was Darnell. I asked her to give him my number and have him call me, she took it down, but when I asked for HER name, she hung up on me AGAIN!
So this brings me to this post. I am now leaving this review and afterwards I am calling corporate. If this woman who hung up on me sees this, I don't know your name, honey, but I have record of the times I called and Subway will know who you are. So my recommendation to the public is, DON'T GO TO THIS PARTICULAR SUBWAY. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A LYING EMPLOYEE TO SAY I WAS NEVER CHARGED WHEN I WAS. I'd post the bank record, but I don't want everyone seeing the other charges. But I plan to show corporate.

Really bad experience here...moldy lettuce, gross tomatoes, slimy meat...worst is the staff acted like this is normal at this location...I had better quality at gas stations...stay away if you want to retain your health...who knows what else is wrong with this place!!!
