  Ive been going to Chart house for years. This was our 4th time going to the one in Tahoe, and the food is usually exquisite, like the dinner you talk about for days. With that said ...My dinner personally was the worst dinner that I've ever had at a Chart House . Steak and Lobster was my dinner of choice. My lobster was so small it might as well been a crawdad, it also had a fishy smell, I ate two pieces of lobster and it did not have any flavor. The steak was small as well and had no flavor.🥹 My whole experience with the food was beyond disappointing. My husband had had prime rib, it looked great on the plate, but it had no flavor as well. So, he went to use the horseradish and it was so bland, not even a little kick. To the positive our waitress, bus boys, the ambience etc.. 5 stars!

  Came here with my family kn our last night of vacation. Service was terrible we got sated at 7:30 didn't realize they closed at 9 the food was thrown at us in the table appetizers were good. Food on the other hand was not steaks were ordered medijm well all came back overdone well done!! And dry!! When they came to get everything off our table when we were done the male waiter or cook maybe ride remarks something goof about finally being done to take our stuff from the table. It was pretty obvious they didnt want to severe is wr shouldve went elsewhere. I guess they only treat regulars with respect..Felt kinda racial we wont be back!

  Really wanted to like it but the service does not help this place. Had to wait 30 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation. The staff (including the waiter) never asked about dietary restrictions or explained the menu. Brought a bottle of champagne and had to ask the waiter for an ice bucket to keep it cold. Entrees came and the waiter hadn’t yet opened the red wine or provide glasses for it. Food did come out fast. Filet Mignon was properly cooked to medium rare and swordfish wasn’t overcooked or too tough. Only complaint on the food was the oysters for an appetizer. They all had large pieces of shells and one oyster looked like it was shucked two days ago.

  absolutely a disappointment. service ruined the whole experience. our waiter gave so much attitude while ordering our food. never checked in on us. when he did check in on us, we would ask for something and get no response, just a stare (we asked for hot water & our desserts). i could go on but i digress. additionally, when we were served our plates- they were extremely hot but the individual kept handing them to us instead of placing them in front of us which was kinda ridiculous. the food was mediocre at best. pasta was super mushy but had some hard, uncooked strands in there as well. the avocados were not ripe for their mango-avocado-shrimp appetizer. lemongrass shrimp was so salty. clam chowder tasted like it came from a can. would not recommend to anyone!

  The Chart House above Tahoe is very popular for its views and great food. I got there a half hour before happy hour opened and there were already 3 groups a head of me! Arriving early paid off, we got a window table with lovely views of the Jeffery pines with slivers of the lake in-between them! The appetizers and the cocktails were excellent. It looked like all of the tables for dining had a view out of the numerous windows also. A lovely place to eat at Lake Tahoe!
