- AHAnne HeinritzSep 10, 20262.0Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed in the recent changes to the layout of the store especially with the addition of barriers forcing you to go through the check out so you can leave. It's extremely inaccessible for the average person. I can't imagine being a wheelchair user and trying to get through the store. The removal of baskets is also frustrating because I don't necessarily want to lug around a cart if I'm just shopping for a few things. I brought up my concerns to an employee who said "it's good for the store!". Yikes. I've been in a few times since the changes and always left empty handed. Between the prices and store updates, I have now found that Safeway is not the best fit for me. Won't be back unless I have to.

Our experience began by being greeted at The Deli by a young lady Named Rose who smiled & said: “ Like The Flower “🌹I asked her if they were planning to make another batch of chicken (as there were only 2~ 3 bottom of the barrel pieces left!?) Rose immediately called her cook over to ask him if he could make a fresh batch.? He was great and explained that it wasn’t a problem and that it would be about 20 minutes. So off my friend & I went to do some shopping! I personally was very happy and impressed by Rose’s Professionalism & Accommodating Attitude!! I Periodically cruised by The Deli Dept. to see how things were going. Rose would smile and quickly check with her co~worker to give me an update. Wow, what a Refreshing Experience!! When it was time for me to pick up my Fried Chicken, there was Rose waiting for me with a Big Smile Holding A Beautiful Bag Of Fresh/Piping Hot Chicken! The Reason I’m taking the time to write this review and share my story, Is because the experience Truly made me feel Special… In The Past, I’ve had Similar Experiences with Their Awesome Manager Brandon (who I know is a large part of this N.W. Reno locations success!) When I left and was driving home, I made a decision to primarily do my shopping at This Maeanne Safeway location, Rather than Rayley’s on Robb Dr. That’s Quite A Bit Closer for me… So, Thank You to All At The Maeanne/McCarran Safeway for Such An Incredibly Special Experience!
