I'm not sure if authentic for that means making everything extremely fishy but each and one of my orders was extremely fishy with the fish sauce and as long as I have eaten Thai food for the past 27 years I have never eaten such fishy Thai food

My friends and I visit every single time we go to Vegas and this last trip we went atleast 4 times, and a few of us returned alone for more. Everything is delicious and fresh, the service is great and the menu has a variety of options. My personal favorites are the fish (snapper or sea bass) and the Panang. The waterfall salad is also amazing.

The special lunch has increased in price. The portion has become very small - there's only 3 very small pieces of meat. It's not worth coming. I won't be back.

This is a tiny hole in the wall kind of place. But it's not so obscure that Guy Fieri wasn't able to find it to feature on Dinners, Drive-ins and Dives! Definitely worth a trip! We tried their tom ka soup with chicken, mild spice and it was enough for 4 people to have before their dinners! It comes to the table in a cast iron pot which has a block of afternoon under it to keep the soup properly heated. You could see the lime leaves and pieces of lemon grass -- this is definitely the real deal! Probably the best tom ka we've ever had! Crab rangoons were good but not special like the soup IMHO but the presentation was pretty! It came with a small bowl of dipping sauce which you got out of the dish using the tiniest, cutest little ladle! Crispy chicken wing appetizer was good. We tried to order all flats but apparently that isn't an option here. Jumbo stuffed chicken wings were very interesting looking -- I didn't try them myself but others at the table really liked them. They came with the same doing sauce as the chicken wings appetizer. The combination fried rice was good, not special, but the quality of the added mix of proteins was excellent. Our entrees were what's zapp noodles mild, crispy pork belly medium, pad Thai chicken mild, and panang curry chicken mild. Although the taste was superb, the panang curry was mostly large chunks of green bell peppers, followed by red bell peppers, with chicken and mushrooms bringing up the end. Wish there had been smaller pieces of peppers and a little more chicken. Even with that said, all entrees were excellent and those of us with the mild spiced items were very pleased with the heat level. It was definitely there but not over powering. What's Zapp makes its own curry and spice mixes so they're brighter tasting and, as fresh, tend to be more pointed in flavor. You can get many things totally unspiced so ask if you don't appreciate a little running nose action during dinner! There was no one there (one small table seated ahead of us) when we arrived just before 7 pm on Saturday night but it was packed during dinner, thinning out as we were preparing to leave. The kitchen is likely pretty small and they seem to do a big take out business so it's entirely possible that, strictly due to volume, your table won't receive you order at the same time. Food was constantly coming out -- both plates and boxed -- even with this challenge, it's worth the visit It gives you time to chat with your companion(s) and pretend we're not in the tech heavy times with the chaos going on around us that's pretty hard to ignore. Try What's Zapp -- you'll like the experience!
